That's a V1 (2-16 watts, if my memory serves...) she's got there, Blue. But I believe the dimensions are EXACTLY the same. Your V2 will have a stainless steel button, a pass-through charging port, and a WHOLE LOT MORE power (6-34).

I'm pretty sure the form factor is identical between the old and new versions.

So I am now a new inductee in to the EPM MOD club, North American branch. How many others are there? I saw in the thread on the Aussie site that, at that time, only 1 had made it to the US. There are at least 2 now, and mine will make 3. I wonder how many others there are.

We are the EPM MOD fan club. We're the only 3 he's sold to in America. I wonder if there isn't something we can do to change that (I mean besides glowing about it here on ECF).

Welcome to the club (jungle?), and I won't call you Chris. ;-)

OK. There are currently two V1's in the US of A. One 18650, in my hands, and one 18490 in Kat's paws. Yours will make three.

Soon, there will be five. Two more 18490 V2's will cross the pacific. One destined for a pair a hands, the other for a set of paws.

The current 18490 (in paws) will make one more round-trip journey, for a visit to Oz, a home cooked meal, and some TLC . It will return, good-as-new, and make its way out into the open market. So eventually there will be at least five.

That is assuming that no other "mercans" decide to also join the club.

All this thanks to one very accommodating & friendly local who goes by the name Adam the Aussie. Without him, NONE of us might even know about the truly marvelous device.

And, of course, Eric, who I'm sure you've already found to be quite great to work with.

I wish they had "dude gear" to outfit mods. The best I've seen is a band that wraps around a tank and reads "It's not smoke. It's Vapor!" but that isn't particularly dudish.

That said, I do have one thing I bought specifically for its content to go on some atty or another.

As for dude-gear, trust me, this mod SCREAMS "masculine". ONLY Kat could possibly feminize it.

But matter not, it does (channeling Yoda). It would be amazing even if it were pink and carrying a bottle of Tango (speaking of the 70's).

I actually don't remember the 70s. I was born in 76. But, as I said before, I have a fondness for analog audio gear, and the 70s is the hey day of huge vacuum powered tube amps with chunky toggle switches!

It did start out as a Unicorn, Tubb, altho it's often difficult to discern what that really means.

I have the distinct feeling this "world's best kept secret mod" will start to gain in popularity as word spreads. I do hope Eric is ready to handle the Mercan swarm.

No doubt you'll dude this up to your liking. It really is quite a masculine device, which is why I needed to give it a fem name and dress her up a bit. Love that 'no smoking' tip! Perfect to top your new EPM.

Ah - thanks. I read a whole thread at AV and somehow missed that. Postage wouldn't be $66 for me. Not sure if I'll get one - looking at a few diff mods at the moment.

"Tank" is a good word, and I'm not even sure a tank is as tough.
