So I picked up some panasonic 18650 batteries, as I had ordered a stainless steel lavatube, I canceled that order as I decided to wait for the new lavatube and vmax to hit, and see what's best. In the meantime, since I've got these batteries, I was wondering about the epower series? i know there's different versions of the device, and I wasn't quite sure which one to get, smoktech or joye (white buttons blue buttons?) and who sells the good version as a barebones device not as part of a kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hmmm...out of interest, and although I understand the rationale for using the 18650s, why bother with a fixed-voltage Epower? Hang in there until the VV devices arrive.

Incidentally, my understanding is that the 18650 version seemed to be the one with the most issues and more limited availability, compared to the 14650 version.

I tend to agree, there are dozens of 18650 mods out there. The e-power would be about bottom of the list for me.
If I was looking for an inexpencive 3.7v 18650 mod I think I would opt for the "Bolt"/with extension sleeve.

Well, I was thinking epower only because it was cheap, and something I could use to take with me to work... a bolt might be a little too big for working... I may end up going that route, but I wasn't quite looking to spend that much as I'm going to pick up one of the new devices (lavatube or vmax) so I guess i'll just hold out for now... Unless there's another 18650 mod I'm missing that has good reliability and is fairly inexpensive?
