Hi all,
Just read Qorax's excellent review of the Erlkonigin, albeit a couple of years late. As I've been using this atty permanently for around 2 years now, I thought it might be useful if I provided a follow up for those who might be tempted. In the 4 years I've been vaping, I initially went through numerous low to high end RTAs, until I took a flyer and splashed out on the Erlkonigin, mainly because it looked right, and appeared to solve some of the common PITA issues. For me, this has turned out to be an outstanding device. There's little point in going back over Qorax's post, I think he's fully nailed it. My feedback is that this RTA, on a single Ti 9 wrap 3mm ID coil @ 0.24 Ohms on a Yihi SX Mini ML Class set at 35 Joules & 210C on a cotton wick is outstanding. It's also just as good in non TC on Kanthal. If you wick it right, it doesn't leak, consistently performs well, easy to use, no gurgle, wicks don't dry out etc etc. It doesn't even flood when on an aeroplane - one constant problem with other attys. I can't be the only one to find a pocket full of ejuice on a long haul! The entire design has been extremely well thought through, and the build quality, finish and materials are first class. Mine looks and performs as well now as when it was new. I've never needed to replace anything - all I ordered from new was the two sizes of plastic tank to give me choice over filling periods & avoid breakage when these things inevitably fall over or get dropped, and one of the stainless screw on mouth pieces as I thought it would last longer & look better than delron. Yes these things are expensive initially, but, once you have one, you'll stick with it because it won't break or fall apart, always looks good, and performs brilliantly every time. This is a genuinely good device in all areas, and I'm still saving my hard earned by staying off the ever tempting 'next new big thing' merry go round. Fully recommended !!
