my first order of juice was a bottle of menthol from where I got my spinner, and an order from a juice site where I bought menthol and 3 more flavors.
even now with several weeks steep, maybe 2 of the 5 I bought might be vapeable but I think i'd only do it in a crisis.
as in, i'd rather smoke an analog.

The irony was the freebie I got with my juice order i've vaped through a bunch and I like it.
I am starting to think I am not/will not suffer from newbie juice extra strength needing syndrome. even subtle flavors are really strong to me. *shrug*

I'm scared to ever try another menthol however, the two I got were like licking vaporub. ewwww...
I did decide to give it ONE MORE TRY and got ice beard I think its called from VCV. if its ick...no more menthol for me!

you could get some unflavored nic liquid and add drops of those menthols to it to dilute them down til they are as mild as you want them. I like a really mild menthol so that is what I will do with the ones I've gotten that are too strong

if you can separate the taste of menthol with the sensation of menthol, koolada is actually quite refreshing. it doesn't taste like menthol but it cools like it. you can get a bottle on the cheap and add a drop or two.

I've also decided that I don't like this "asian" ry4 I DIY'd. It's not horrible enough to dump but it's not very tasty either.

i have found that if i dont like a flavor when i get it, letting it steep doesnt make it any tastier. steeping may mellow out the flavor but burnt is still burnt and perfumy is still perfumy. the only flavors that made a difference with steeping are the ones that didnt have much flavor.. they just tasted like pg/vg/nic. steeping allowed the flavors to come through although they werent great flavors but tolerable.

i have to stay away from flavors that are buttery. for some reason that stays on my tongue and makes everthing have a hint of artificial butter spray (as though i drank it from the can).

i couldnt force myseld to throw out the bottles though. i keep them for future use eventhough i havent started the diy juices yet.

When I ordered from vapesales they have me a free 10ml of butterscotch. Couldn't do it. Then when I ordered from them again they sent me another free one. Now they're both just sitting there. I tried to go back to it when that was all I had but I just couldn't do it. Lol. I waited 3 days for more juice while I had a full bottle of that starring at me lol.

I can't for the life of me remember what the flavor was, but it was just a sampler bottle included in a Mister-E order, and it tasted like what cat piss smells like. I thought I'd let it steep a little, maybe clean out my clearomizer, tried it again after a few days, same thing. Ugh. Surprised me because I have LOVED everything from them...except that one little sample bottle lol

OMG cat pee

Hypnotic Mist. Like vaping perfume.

Hendry! LOL! "You're not normal, she's right! What's wrong with you? What kind of person are you? What's the matter with you, Hendry?!" Love the baby gorilla.

Never tried Hypnotic Mist. But I have a drawer full of juices I bought to try and never was able to stomach more than a ml or two. I kind of thought everybody did.

Somewhere out there
I've been able to salvage juices i don't like by diluting, mixing or adding a few drops of flavor concentrate.

I can't figure out what to do with Banana Nut Bread and Black Raspberry Champagne though. Those were among the first flavors I tried, and are still sitting hardly used.

I just tried out some coconut. Why did I ever think that would be a good vape? Maybe I'll eventually be able to use it as an accent in some DIY mix.

I also have some samples of different tobacco flavors. Yuck, they taste like chewing on a stale cig. Fortunately, most are tiny bottles, so no big waste. I don't even think it would be worth the postage to send them out to someone.

In one of my early juice orders (don't remember who it was with) I got a free sample of Bacon. This has been the only juice I couldn't vape at all.

Bacon? While I consider it my favorite of the 5 food groups, I do not believe someone would package this for resale. What did it taste like? Come on.......Spill the Bacon ;)

I use coconut for buttery flavor, start at 4 drops in 30 ml of banana nut bread liquid with a little marshmellow.
dont use too much

when I first started vaping I purchased 30 ml bottle of tobacco juice that was natural extract, big mistake.
taste exactly how chewing tobacco smells , barf

exactly my view too, If I mix a juice and it is not good right away, I will not make it again. If I can add to it and save it great.
Im not into bouque of the juice and all of that.

The only one I've found that I just can't stomach is this absinth I have from MBV.

A PRIME example of how subjective people's tastes can be! MBV's Absinthe almost seemed to vaporize itself in my house, as fast as my wife and I were going through it. Two other people I know switched to vaping *just* to have this one flavor, including buying the hardware and *metal* tanks for it (it's one of those plastic eaters.) I just split a 236ml bottle of it four ways to keep everyone happy. It's one of the rare ones that don't survive long enough to get "properly steeped" in my house.

Speaking of "steeping" it's been my experience, especially with very fresh juice like MBV's, that if a juice smells and/or tastes like "perfume" it REALLY needs to steep awhile. Shake it up really good and remove *both* caps (the dripper cap too) and let it rest in a dark, quiet place for a day. Smell/taste it the next day and repeat as necessary. MBV recommends a minimum of 14 days of this process to let their juice fully mature, although some of them get vaped up long before that in my house. I find that even just a day or two is usually enough to let the "perfume" aspects escape. YMMV.

Flavor I just couldn't vape at all? Most recently is MBV's "Chai Tea". I ordered it with four extra flavor shots and out of the box tasted something like sucking the water out of a piece of 2x4 after the fire department put out a raging house fire might taste. But I'm not getting rid of it! It's been steeping for a few days now, might give it a week more. I ordered the extra flavor shots because I typically water my juice down with extra VG anyway. We'll see if this one has come around then ;)

I'm guessing 80% of the juice I've purchased never got vaped.

:thumb: OH! Thank goodness, I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me. All of you mentioning one or two .... gee, I have no idea how much I'm going to wind up throwing out:facepalm: Right now I'm playing around with the really bad ones, mixin' this with that just to see if I can save SOME of my investment; if not
