I'm Looking at my BUZZ right now... and that little tiny brass screw looks just like the one on my Buzz. And I can see the beginnings of that blue box behind it.

If it is the same POT, nice choice.

I have never seen a Buzz up close and I do not know what he uses in his. I will say that he did help me out a lot when I first started making mods. Making a mod in a box is a lot easier then coming up with a cool looking device.

So, I didn't see the purchase option because the "free" sample option caught my eye first. I've already got a FEDEX tracking number for it. I guess I should be getting it next week.

ordered one as well, they think I'm using it for ATE at work

thanks blue! Great mod here, have been tossing around building another one, this post pushed me to do it!

Are you some sort of 'green' guy worried about your carbon footprint? :p
Nay, that's the wife, the 'swamp lady'.
I worry more about guarding the perimeter (after the total collapse of the world economy) and my e-cig battery going dead before my watch is over because I was vaping on an inefficient mod :)

That's what Fedex says. So where do you guys order your electronic components from? I only ask because there are a ton of websites to order from.

21blackjack,

They are so many to choose from....Here are a few I use:

3XAA battery holder with built in switch. I also git my resistors here:
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&productId=216144&catalogId=10001&freeText=216144&app.products.maxperpage=15&storeId=10001&search_type=jamecoall&ddkey=https:OrderItemAdd

14500 batteries.
TrustFire Protected 3.7V 900mAh 14500 Lithium Battery (2-Pack)

atty or carto connector
Connectors

5 amp push switch. I have a local supplier for these so my cost is much cheaper.
Otto Engineering

I am sure others will jump in with some more.

Ok, I was able to find everything (except the 510 connector) on digikey. Total came to $20. So all in all, this mod should cost me less than $30 to build, if I don't screw something up. I'm going to have to go buy some new tips for my soldering iron because the only one that works right now is the fat tipped one. I really want to try to get the thumb wheel potentiometer to work, but I ordered the regular pot. just in case I can't get it to fit.
