Thanks for the info on the dual 18650 box and the RS box too. Think I'm going to try the dual 18650 for now. Might get one of each. Need to build one for the wife too.
DERP I can be such a noob sometimes. I had soldered a resistor along a strip and didn't cut the trace so the resistor was shorting out. Thanks for the ideas guys.

I ditched the volt display and also the touch fet. Put in a big 5A switch and a rocker switch to select 2 volt setting that I commonly use. and also 2 510 connectors in parallel just for kicks.
All thanks to bigblue30 and others that helped tremendously along the journey.

I've only seen them in 1 place (other than China), but they were being sold in bulk for a ridicules price!
These are very rare.... its a dual-18650 with a USB breakout connection opening, correct?
Yeah it is a dual 18650 battery box with a USB opening. It is made for the batteries to be in Parallel. But a lot of folks use it with batteries in series.
They are 8 bucks shipped on ebay , from china . I dont know of anyplace in the states that caries them 18650 battery case 2 x parallel connection DIY case | eBay

YEP! that's exactly where I saw them....but this is the first time I've seen him sell just (1) at a time.
He had parcels of (10) up for around $70, but geeez.....that's just a serious rip off, man!
When you can buy an 18650X4 Booster Box with a regulator and a charger for a whole lot less than having to buy a parcel!

I only bought one as well. but the box needs some work to make it presentable. theres sharp edges around the slide cover that needs sanding and mine came with a dent on the body but not too noticeable. All in all a nice box that gives good hand grip.

I don't know if anyone have ever done this before.
I've been vaping with my evercool for awhile now and when I got my GGTS I found it lacking without a regulator of some sort so, lo and behold... a drop in evercool module!
measures 27mm in length and fits in 15mm ID tube. So I just used the extension tube I ordered along with the GGTS, drop the 2x 16340s, the module, top cap, and vapes away.
Only drawback is I have to remove the module to tune it to the voltage required. But I get to keep a clean look on the GGTS.

How do you ground it? At one point I was working on something similiar, but universal, but ran into issues keeping a solid ground connection.
I used pressure loaded nickel strip around the body of the module and ground them to the GGTS body. Since it uses common ground and the GGTS have negative terminal switch it works nicely. one end of the module is Vin and the other end is Vout. Just don't put them the wrong way in.
Would 100uf at 16V capacitors work with the 6amp Ti chip? Or do they have to be 100uf at 10V?
