Ok, I have read the entire thread, and am now ready to start my build.
It will be a while before I can convince wifey to let me spend any more money on e-cig stuff,
but I want to start building the box. so I have a couple questions:
I have all the parts except batteries and the pot
How long and big around are the 14500 batteries?
What are the dimmensions of the pot. length, width, thickness, with a part number and where to get it.
Thanks to all especially BigBlue

Shouldn't be hard, just point out how much money you're not spending on cigarettes.

14mm x 50mm, same as an AA battery.

Here's a pic of the schematic for comparison. The only diff in mine (that I can see) is I dont have a main power off (I dont need it, its a tube mode that I can unscrew a bit to cut power) and I dont have the led wired into it.

ok, I figured it out.. kinda :) I took everything off the pcb and re-soldered it fresh to another pcb with an 8100 instead of the 8060.. it works! The only thing I can think caused the problems was possible a bad connection with my soldering... sweet!! It's alive!!! Now I just need to fit it all in a box thats too small for everything ;)

And I left the caps out.. I wonder if 35v caps was a problem.
