Hello there everyone...I would like to start off this thread by apologizing to anyone who visited any of my threads and pretty thought I was arrogant and abrasive. First, let me point out to everyone that I never knew that capital letters in messages was yelling and screaming. You need to take my word on that even if you find that hard to believe.

The next thing I would like to say. My apologies go out Andrew at ccv and to Brent at Hoosier e-cig supply.
I complained about cartos being doa(which I thought meant they were burnt). I still do not know what else that could mean. I take full blame and responsibility for my ignorance and stupidity. I never realized that 15-20 drops was not enough, therefore I thought they were burnt. This also goes out to Brent at Hoosier e-cig supply. I had the same problem with his dual coil cartos.

I'm the idiot and I am truly sorry.

Frank

Also I think 6v was probably a bit too much for those. No problems. *hugs*

I actually find 18 + 3 to 6 more (or whatever it will soak in) is enough for a standard resistance Boge if I use thin clear juices and let it settle on all sides. But different types of dropper tips also make different size drops. It's not exact. And as I said. lately I have found the Boge stuffing to be more resistant to liquids and require more patience. Took extra long to get the first 3-4 drops to soak in on my last one (I always wait for the first few to wet the top before continuing).

YAY! You're official! If you haven't had to rant, rave, scream and vent about something ecig related you really haven't had the full experience. Glad you posted back.

Starting this hobby is tough. For some (myself included) it's a steep learning curve and has cost me a good bit of time, money and aggrevation. I'm still figuring a lot of it out. After a bunch of hissy fits I've finally accepted that I will order the wrong juice, burn something (if you havent gotten juice in your eye yet you are in for a good 1) and waste tons of money. It's still worth it. It's what makes it tinkerable and interesting. I'm still healthier than when I started.

Sorry to blather on but I think that a good number of us can relate to being new and frustrated. Good Luck w/ Vaping and try to let the small stuff ride.

Frankster, good for you for straightening this out! There's plenty to learn in this vapor game and we ex-smokers aren't always patient. Just take a couple long drags and keep searching on ECF and asking questions - it's all good. About the DOA issue - one other thing to watch out for if a carto's not firing is the center post of the carto and battery. Sometimes they aren't meeting and you need to pry out the center of the carto just a hair gently to get it to make contact with the battery center post. I've had a few that I got frustrated about that didn't fire at all and they were fine once I got that post adjusted. Good luck finding your perfect vape, at least until the next new thing comes along!

It happens, things go wrong, there's a real learning curve. The key is to always try to work with the vendor first -- most of the places are small shops, handful of people at most (many are one man or woman), run by people who are vapers themselves, care a lot about their clients having a positive experience.

Good luck!

I've been vaping for quite some time now, and have still (knocks on wood) never had a DOA carto. So I was quite surprised by your earlier threads.
That is not to say that it can't happen, or that I haven't had to adjust the center post on a few.
As for how many drops it takes to fill a carto, there is no set number. There are to many variables. When it won't hold any more it's full, and not before.
    Glad to see you man-up.

Time was I made a career out of playing the fool. Then I got tired of that stupid outfit and all its bells.

But good on you for straight up admitting it. Whatever else you may have said, that earns some respect. E-cigs and all that goes with them have a learning curve and we've all gone through our own brands of WTF moments with our hardware and/or juices -- heck, even our experiences and changes that our bodies went through when we switched.

It's as much what you do when you're right as how you handle being wrong. :)

Also, now I have that song stuck in my head...

I'm glad you've come around can start to enjoy vaping.i didn't mean for my last post to be mean or malicious at all. People on this forum are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You can learn alot very quicklyon here if you just ask
Try filling your cartos with the syringe method that I posted on your other thread where I told you off(sorry again) :p. I really think it will solve your problem with the burnt cartos.

    Goodluck with everything

I too shyed away from the previous threads but now must join in and also compliment you on your courage. Not many would have done so when it is to easy to just go away. Welcome to the forum and now you can enjoy all it has to offer.

I have seen several threads that give a rough idea on how many drops each differant carto holds. I use this as a guideline and count my drops carefully on the first fill. I will then drop one at a time until a drop comes out of the bottom, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Just a little hit: I always heat my liquid on the first fill by putting the bottle in hot water for a few minutes, it thins the liquid out a bit and is absorb faster by the dry filler material JMHO.

Frankster, I read that thread but but didn't comment. It really does take a Big Man to admit that he was wrong. I'm a very easy going guy & almost never rant & rave or get mad...except the times I quit smoking (or have to take steroids.) I thoght that you were having a nicotine fit. I could see myself going off if I was out of cigs & couldn't get the PV working. That's why my backups have backups. I've got 6 months or more of juice & cartos & tanks & carts, etc. I just have to be sure nothing makes me go back to analogs.
