Everything tastes the same, and it's not good?

On 3 weeks vaping today, which is awesome, but from about the 1 week mark everything I vape started tasting the same. Slight differences of course, but none of the juice tastes like what it did the first day I tried it. None of it tastes sweet like the candies it's flavored to taste like. The best way to describe the flavor is cigarette smoke. Is this normal? Is it just time to replace the cartomizers?

I'm using a couple of 650mah, 510 batteries with kanger cartomizers. Working perfectly as far as keeping me from smoking, but considering buying something else if it will make a difference with the flavor.

It's your tastebuds, or lack of. They need recovery from the hot, poisonous smoke you've been pounding them with for however many years. This "no taste" stage coule last days, weeks, or months, so best to buy some really strongly flavoured juices like mints, cinnamons, menthols, etc. I would suggest Orchard Frost from Backwoods Brew. It's a menthol/cinnamon and orchard fruits mixture. Quite good and you'd definitely taste it ;)

If you're still using the same carto's, fill new ones. I find the kangers last about a week if you keep them good and wet.
Drink more water!
Cold also be the dreaded dead taste buds. Should pass soon if it is.
And drink MORE water! This really does help. :)

Yup, it's the same pack of 5, but I filled each one with a different flavor and for a while was switching them about every hour or so but then started using one flavor almost exclusively. Will get some more carts asap then!

I'm really reluctant on the water. Bleh. I have an RO so I have nice clean water, but I still don't like drinking it. Isn't coffee just as good?

Congrats on hitting your first bout of taste doldrums! Reading your post reminded me of my first flat flavour period. I think that if was around the three week mark also. Definitely change your cartos. Definitely drink more water (no coffee is not the same, it dehydrates, instead of hydrates) "When you vape, Hydrate" is a vaper's motto.
The one thing that I did to get over the hump that really helped also was to vape a completely different flavour. In fact I vaped a Beer e-juice that tasted more like public pool water than anything else, for a couple of days. It sucked, but when I went back to my old juices, the flavour came right back.

I have this problem occasionally as well and my personal opinion is sinuses. Most of your "taste" is actually in your nose and a small change in your sinuses will affect it. I think it's always been that way, but never really paid attention to it. Thinking back, I now realize that the taste of cigarettes varied too, but since I didn't smoke for flavor, I didn't give it much thought. Some people claim that vaping a strong menthol helps to kick start the taste buds, but when you think about it that's just about the same thing as sniffing a vick's inhaler. Perhaps decongestants and cough drops would help, but probably the best thing to do is just vape the juices you don't care about and wait it out.

I guess I have been fortunate, the only... it all kinda tastes the same ... I had was when I was using different juices in the same cartomizer.

Something that might be worth looking into is maybe trying dripping? I did that for the first time last night with a bunch of people, sharing juices and what not, and the flavour really was more pronounced than with my carts.

Actually for that matter, I have been finding the same juice tastes different depending what I use it in. I had the same juice, in a cart, in a tank, in a stardust, and then dripped. Each time they had a similar flavour but I would detect something different about them.

Another big thing I have noticed is how long the juice as matured/aged/steeped. A juice I tried as soon as I got and then a few days/week later hand changed completely.

I don't know if any of that helps, but just sharing my own path thus far and hopefully it does.

i do use clearomizers but only had this problem about 1mth in. just read on another thread about using unflavored juice during "no taste" days, so i think i will be investing in a bottle just to keep around that way i dont "waste" my flavors when i cant taste them :) sad thing is ive been dying to try this flavor and now its amost gone :( going by what other ppl smell i will definatly have to get another bottle to hopefully taste LOL
