Happy Saturday everyone!

I've tried Highbrow, ECBlend, Vapedudes, and flux. That's not too many, but a few different flavors from each one.

Everything tastes the same to me. A kind of waxy, sweet and/or fruity taste.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I have ego twists with vivi Novas. I also have an ego t Kit that i bought.

I hear do many people talking about great flavors but all mine taste the same and even a bit dull. I'm not sure what to do different.

Early on that will be a problem. Your taste buds will take a while to come back. Some juice places have an option for varying degrees of flavor. You may want to give vape Renu a shot. You can go with double or triple flavor. But it will take a while for the taste buds to come back some say that they have two cycles of flavor return. Food comes fist then the juice kinds of weakens then that comes back again.
Other factors for me were nic count and how hot I had the atty. Should be between 4-8 watts. Here is a chart I always give out to folks

I'm in the same boat, as are many others. After years of smoking, your taste buds are trashed. I've heard that one's senses of taste and smell (which is very important for flavor too) will come back. I'm crossing my fingers. At this point, all I can taste is very strong menthol and cinnamon - which is weird, since I don't like cinnamon candy. I have bottles & bottles of juice I've tried that all taste like chemicals or plastic. I vape some of a new one each day and focus on trying to taste something - sometimes it works a little bit. I count it a lucky day when it doesn't taste horrible.

For me, it's LR/low voltage that tastes better - with higher volts juice tastes hot and burnt to me.

ETA: Ignore my post, I didn't read Steve's correctly.

Don't know what happened trying this again.
Watts are the key. You want between 4-8 watts. Volt and ohms alone mean little. You can use pretty much any ohms if you match the volts and get the watts right. Some juice and atty types vary some on max and min.

Oops! I misread your post as volts not watts - sorry. That's right for me then; I'm at about 6-7 watts.

I wrote this in early September. Unfortunately, it's still true.

Every morning I try a new vape
hoping one I'll be able to taste
but Cool Cherry's like soap
Gummie Bears, maybe? Nope
Though today, while no cup, I got cake!

What nic level do you us and do you get your juice with a TH. Try asking for more flavor. My taste buds are screwed up pretty much perm to some extent. But when I dropped the Nic and upped the flavor to 16-20% I can taste it. I don't get TH. Places like vapor renew will go as high as a triple dose of flavor.

I think this is like a lot of things it is diff for everybody. Thank God mine started to show results like the 2nd week. At first I was having to order real high flavor. Now those are on the verge of being too much. We are lucky we can taste at all. LOL I think that is why many put on weight after quitting. They could taste their food without a cup of ketchup on it. LOL OR Tabasco. LOL
Same thing happens to high saturation divers. The air mix messes up their taste buds.

I mostly order from Vixen Vapors, as they have the one vape I can really taste. Luckily, they go to 3x flavor and you can add menthol. I know what you mean about nic level. I was ordering 12mgs, but thought I was vaping too much (ha ha!), so I ordered 18mgs. It was immediately obvious that more nic meant less room in the bottle for flavor...ummm...duh. (plus I was wired) For my last order I got the same flavor in 8mgs and am cutting the higher one.

Thanks. I can't see the chart on my phone, but I'll check it out on my computer later.

I ordered my next batch of juices with extra flavor, hope this helps.

I've been using about 18mgs of nic, feel like I need it right now. I'm not completely off the analogs yet, been hanging on to 1-5 a day.

I ordered some from Ahlusions today, hoping it would be flavorful. I'm just hanging in there, using what I have. I guess I'm glad they are just dull and not awful lol.

What flavors have you tried?
Have you tried juices from different categories, Tobacco, NET tobacco, Deserts, Candies, Fruit, Coffee & Teas, Drinks or Bakery?
Maybe trying some flavors from different categories could help.
What is the PG/VG ratio of the juices that you are trying?
Flavor comes threw stronger with higher PG levels. Does your vendor offer the option to add extra flavor?

I have not tried juices from the vendors that you listed, but generally juices improve with steeping. Try taking the tops off of the bottles for a couple of days and that may help with the plastic, perfume taste.

As others before me have said, years of smoking can harm your tastebuds. If you do quit, they will heal and resume their previous function, although it can be a long process, and is different for everybody.

The recommendations that I have read encourage frequent oral hygiene. Change up flavors, don't vape the same flavor hours on end. Order juice with extra flavor initially until the taste buds return. Try stronger flavors - there's a couple of threads buried somewhere in the juice sub-forum with suggestions- the search tool is your friend. Be certain to exhale some of the vapor thru your nose, as it will help you "taste" your vapor's flavor.

You might consider another type of attachment instead of your vivi nova. I have a few of the Smoktech clones, and the flavor is pronouncely muted with certain flavors. Dripping on an atomizer supposively allows you to taste flavors more fully, but I never got the hang of it. Try a clearomizer, ce3, cartomizer...something may work better for you.

I could recommend a couple of very strong flavored ejuices, but don't know if you'd like them:

Highbrow Vapor's Orange de Sangre is a very strong orange fruit flavor. Orange de Sangre

VapeRite's Double Espresso Organic Flavored Double Espresso | Organic Flavored Juices | Vaperite E-Juices | Vaperite.com and Organic Kona Cream Organic Flavored Kona Cream | Organic Flavored Juices | Vaperite E-Juices | Vaperite.com are strong coffee flavors.

Hang in there.

When I switch flavors I definately get better taste. I think your brain gets used to a flavor if you smoke it too much.

oh this is so true,,,,,,,,if I can't taste one flavor, I switch to another,,,,,,

right after quitting this will happen as well,,,,,,,,be sure to HYDRATE as well, because vaping makes you dry,,,,,,

usually if this happens now, it means I need to drink water :) HTH!

I've found the same thing. For the flavors that seem to be more natural tasting or claim to be organic, I find that setting my Twist on its lowest 3.2v brings out the 'complexity' or naturalness the best.

Another thing to mention, and someone did mention it but I think it got buried in the rest of their writing, most juices need to steep for the alcohol to be removed from them.

To steep, one way I've learned, is to take the tops and dripper parts off for a couple of days to let that alcohol evaporate out. After the two days, recap and test them out every once in a while. Some juices take a while to reach that great vaping stage. As a newbie I didn't know this and all the fruits tasted the same, heck even the non fruits had a similar flavor to them.

Now that I know, I am starting to actually get the nuances of some juices. If you don't know if your vendors juices need steeping or not, ask them. They want you to like their stuff so you keep coming back to them. Most tobacco juices need steeping but there are some vendors that have the steeping done before sending them out. Just ask or find a thread that discusses your vendors of choice.

I hope that helped.
