Just take it easy until your new battery arrives.
Poor power = weak output.
It's like running on Flat Tires. You will go, but not fast

One thing you can try, that has worked to help failing batteries.
Place battery in a plastic ziplock bag rolled with all the air out. Wrap a rubber band around the bag. Place in the Freezer over night. 12-18hrs.(longer is better) remove from freezer and bag and lay on a towel until back to room temperature. Fully charge and use until ful safe discharge is reached. Recharge. There is no guaranty but this can improve battery performance and has work for many in the past.

awesome thanks for the tip! your analogy about the flat tire makes sense. Ill definitely give it a go

Another weird thing i noticed once my battery gets to the 50% mark it starts to jump it'll go back up to 54 then 49 then back up to 53 and it will stay at 53 (the same length as a healthy battery) then decrease slowly like its its a healthy battery

You may have a defective battery, misfunctioning control head, or contacts in need of cleaning.

Here's what I would try.

1. Clean all contacts, not just the battery ones, but also all points of the control head. Perhaps some previous leaking juice coated a contact.

2. Try another battery and compare.

3. Re-flash (if not done already) eVic control head and test again.

You could also try another load (clearo/carto, etc.) to test with, since they can short-circuit. In this wise you may be able to eliminate the source of your troubles.

Thanks for the tips I cleaned out all the connectors earlier today and it seems that making sure all the settings were correct fixed my vapor production. but my battery has definitely crapped on me. I let the battery drain to 20% went back about 30 mins later and it jumped to 60 and its only gone up 2 percent in the past 10 minutes. doesnt make sense to me. im really hoping its the battery because i don't like the sound of me sending it out to joyetech to be serviced...I dont want to wait that long probably wont get it back for a good month and a half. just hoping my panasonic 18650 will solve this mystery thanks for the tips! and ill re-flash it. do you think downloading the factory reset from joyetech same as re-flashing it? I'm guessing I'll have to reset it first then upgrade back to 1.2 again

Keep in mind this observation does not eliminate the possibilty the Flash-job is bad or the control head might be damaged. You will need another battery to accurately test by comparison.

This is not the Samsung OEM supplied battery. Many vendors sell a Sanyo after-market one. Post a link to the Panasonic, please.

and ill re-flash it. do you think downloading the factory reset from joyetech same as re-flashing it?
Don't quote me on it, but the re-set is not a re-flash, but merely clears/preps the unit to accept a flash file. I have not had to use it, so others here may have some experience with it. And, flash-jobs can be bad, all sorts of reasons why that can happen.

I'm guessing I'll have to reset it first then upgrade back to 1.2 again
Let's eliminate/verify the battery as a possibility first as the next step in the sequence. I would also be inclined to eliminate whatever load clearo/carto short-circuit possibility might exist before examining/flashing the unit's control head.

Just a few cheap cents ...

Evic has built in ohm meter to monitor top device resistance. eVic poles device every few seconds.

People need to stop working the new guy into a panic and wait until his new Battery arrives.

Battery Brand is not relevant, only battery quality. AW are excellent, Panasonic CGR are highly recommended. Samsung simply made the Supply deal with Joyetech.

The panasonic battery is actually on joyetech's website Joyetech eVic 3400mAh battery

I'll just wait and see if its my battery and take it from there before i re-flash and do all the steps you provided Hello World

Crxess dang wish I took my time to fully research on batteries. I jumped the gun and went with the upgrade battery via joyetechs website which is the panasonic 18650 3400mah. Theyre not pricey anyways so I didnt lose much. I just see it as an upgrade for now.

just to clear things up just in case people are not aware Panasonic took control of Sanyo. So on the joyetech website it will state that it is a Sanyo battery.

I was having problem with charging the battery basically it wouldnt charge to 100%. it would say charging then just stop at 96% regardless how long its been plugged in.
I thought the battery was bad so I bought another one off ebay. that night, it charged to 100%.
I think being a beta test firmware, its possible the firmware is not detecting the battery correctly and not charging it fully
