I really like the way my evic looks and I LOVE the sound of the clicks of the wheel.
I bought it so I'd have 2 variable voltage (& power) mods to use with clearomizers.
I love that they listened to the US reviewers & they fixed the spelling errors + screen quirks.
That is one of the main reasons I bought it. Because I refused to buy a device with spelling errors.
If the Segelei Zmax did not have spelling errors or problems with the oled words, I'd have that instead.
But, I refused. So I got the Evic. I'm really happy I did. Looks great, love the clicks.
I have gotten into an argument here on ecf about how we shouldn't care if a PV would break if dropped.
I think thats stupid. Like I said in my argument, a manufacturer should take into account durability when dropped.
My evic's puff counter tells me I bring it up to my face almost 2 thousand times a day.
So why wouldn't a manufacturer at least ATTEMPT to annex any design that might be prone to drop damage?
I love the evic, but, the wheel isn't great, relative to drop vulnerability. It would probably break 1st or 2nd fall.
My provari has literally dropped out of my mouth to a french tile floor. The thick, real, tile flooring.
Not even a SCRATCH. I look at my provari like a work horse. The design is fantastic right down to the anodizing.
It hides scratches impeccably. And even if I scratch it up for a whole year.. a new tube is only 50 bucks.
50 bucks for a new tube now... 50 bucks for a new tube in 6 years.
Oh and you might be able to get a couple vamos for the price of 1 provari....
but fixing your provari over the course of 5yrs may very well end up being a lot cheaper n buying new vamos.
Who knows how long vamos will last? They came out less than a year ago. The provari was the 1st VV device.
The evic isn't made of plastic, there are just plastic components.
I can't answer for you, what device is best for you. MY advice is watch reviews + technical reviews.
The charts don't lie. The build quality doesn't lie. The provari is genuinely a nice device, my personal favorite.
While I think other devices rival the provari in drop durability, (maybe zmax? tesla?)
My opinion, from watching reviews, is that even with all the NEW devices, the provari is a whole package PV.
It does lack Variable Wattage but now that I own a vw device, it isn't really a HUGE thing for me.
I know what voltage to put things on.. and no variable wattage device knows to raise power when coils flood.
So in my opinion, theres no way 1 of these threads will help you decide, they are full of opinion.
What you want to go by is fact, and then make your OWN opinions based on those facts.
The best place to get facts is by searching here and youtube for technical reviews on the stuff ur interested in.
keywords: (for instance) provari technical review or provari meter chart or provari meter or somethin like that.
