Evic or Provari?

I havent had either mod personally, after my twist got a gus 18350, but ive had many friends have both. For the price of the evic, its not bad, but as they say you get what you paid for. My friends evic started to give him problems after a couple months. For example, it wont power up, and the display screen just crapped out on him. As for the provari, every vape store I have went to has sworn by it. If you can save up a lil more, I would say the provari would be better in the long run. Hope this info helps!

I'm doing my research on all the PV's and while the Provari is the best of the best I hate the interface screen. The price is worth the workmanship hands down but for me the Vamo V2 is the one i'm getting myself. I went down to a vape store that had 20 different kinds and tried them out and for bang vs buck the Vamo just beats it IMO !!!! If the Provari had the same interface screen as the Vamo it would be perfect but 1980's screen tech for that price is just a slap in the face for such a perfect work of art. I can get 4 Vamo's for 1 provari.

Now if i could some how put the screen from the Vamo into the provari it would be perfect....Oh the Evic.. ya..ummm.. just no, if it was a metal then maybe, just felt cheap in my hands is all.

If the Provari had the same interface screen and buttons like a Vamo it would be more prone to break or malfunction. Its as simple as that. The Evic also has a more complicated design.

The Vamo was designed with price in mind while the Provari was designed to last. An led screen might not look as good in your opinion but the OLED has a fatal flaw in its design and thats it being highly susceptible to damage from liquids. Led screens have proven reliable in thousands of applications for at least a decade.

Not knocking your choice at all just pointing out why there are differences between these devices. Different people want different things and design is not always approached from the same angle. One pv is designed to be disposable while the other is not.

You may well end up buying 4 Vamos in the the length of time I have my Provari and if it works for you and gets you off analogs even better.

I just prefer not to spend money on disposable products.

After seeing that commercial I think they should rename the Evic to the E-peen.

I know all of our tube mods are phallic in shape but that one takes it to a whole new level with the tapered head slowly rising to stand tall at the start of the video

I really like the way my evic looks and I LOVE the sound of the clicks of the wheel.
I bought it so I'd have 2 variable voltage (& power) mods to use with clearomizers.
I love that they listened to the US reviewers & they fixed the spelling errors + screen quirks.
That is one of the main reasons I bought it. Because I refused to buy a device with spelling errors.
If the Segelei Zmax did not have spelling errors or problems with the oled words, I'd have that instead.
But, I refused. So I got the Evic. I'm really happy I did. Looks great, love the clicks.

I have gotten into an argument here on ecf about how we shouldn't care if a PV would break if dropped.
I think thats stupid. Like I said in my argument, a manufacturer should take into account durability when dropped.
My evic's puff counter tells me I bring it up to my face almost 2 thousand times a day.
So why wouldn't a manufacturer at least ATTEMPT to annex any design that might be prone to drop damage?
I love the evic, but, the wheel isn't great, relative to drop vulnerability. It would probably break 1st or 2nd fall.

My provari has literally dropped out of my mouth to a french tile floor. The thick, real, tile flooring.
Not even a SCRATCH. I look at my provari like a work horse. The design is fantastic right down to the anodizing.
It hides scratches impeccably. And even if I scratch it up for a whole year.. a new tube is only 50 bucks.
50 bucks for a new tube now... 50 bucks for a new tube in 6 years.
Oh and you might be able to get a couple vamos for the price of 1 provari....
but fixing your provari over the course of 5yrs may very well end up being a lot cheaper n buying new vamos.
Who knows how long vamos will last? They came out less than a year ago. The provari was the 1st VV device.

The evic isn't made of plastic, there are just plastic components.
I can't answer for you, what device is best for you. MY advice is watch reviews + technical reviews.
The charts don't lie. The build quality doesn't lie. The provari is genuinely a nice device, my personal favorite.
While I think other devices rival the provari in drop durability, (maybe zmax? tesla?)
My opinion, from watching reviews, is that even with all the NEW devices, the provari is a whole package PV.
It does lack Variable Wattage but now that I own a vw device, it isn't really a HUGE thing for me.
I know what voltage to put things on.. and no variable wattage device knows to raise power when coils flood.

So in my opinion, theres no way 1 of these threads will help you decide, they are full of opinion.
What you want to go by is fact, and then make your OWN opinions based on those facts.
The best place to get facts is by searching here and youtube for technical reviews on the stuff ur interested in.
keywords: (for instance) provari technical review or provari meter chart or provari meter or somethin like that.

I've tried the Provari and I liked it, but I'm the kinda guy who likes a bit of variety. Although I might someday buy a Provari, my current PV arsenal is totally satisfying AND enjoyable. I got the SS Vamo V2, and the Evic just after New Years, and LOVE both. I probably lean slightly more toward the Evic, cuz I use it more...but the reason could be due to the flavor I vape on it.

Whatever you get, it'll be at least 1000% better than the 510 cig-a-like I started with!
