Pah!

I like my eVic. I like the VW. Mine is the newer model and I've dropped it a few times and just recently fell down a few concrete steps. My knee is screwed up but my eVic is fine.

However, if you are already thinking about getting a Provari you probably won't be happy til you get one.

Kinda like owning a Harley. I won't own anything else now. :)

And that's why I bought a Beemer. Lol just have a bit of fun my friend. Most Harley riders just stare when they see me. Cause they can't hear me.

None of the above.
I have a Provari and it is great but for what I payed for it I could have gotten 3 Vamo's or 2+ Zmax V3's. If money is no object then sure but why not buy a Vamo V3 and a Zmax V3. The thing I like about the Vamo is quick battery and Ohms checks. The Zmax V3 Telescoping will use a bunch of different batteries and is built really solid It is SS steel. If I had it to do over I'd get A Vamo, Zmax and a Mech like a #9 or 19 or K100, 101. I now own the Provari V2 standard, Vamo v2, Zmax V3 and the K101. Of the 4 I use the provari the least. I use the Zmax and the K010 the most with the Vamo being a close second.
On the Evic. I it has a steeper learning curve than the than the Porvari or the ones i mentioned. Heard friends complain about settings locking the unit up and they had to do a reset and make changes before it would work and yes they have the latest firmware update. The Evic IMO is the least sturdy of the others I mentioned. Also it is expensive. In order to use some of the stuff on it you have to hook it up to a computer too. Don't like that much.

I never get a rattlesnake sound on my Vamo, that's so odd :-/.

I was sold on the Vamo. Now not so much! uhgg so much research and just now learning about the rattlesnake thing damn. That would probly drive my wife nuts with me sitting next to her watching a movie or something!

Then I learned that I can buy an Amercan made APV? Damn.. Now I'm leaning towards justifying spending 180 bucks. uhg.

A lot of it depends on what you put on top. Certain attys seem to amplify the effect as does airflow. My Protanks are nearly silent. I can minimize the noise on my cartotanks by adjusting the height of my tanks relative to the head (which is only possible with flangeless cartos). I mucked about with a "Vamo muffler" made out of a rubber gasket which worked quite well but was too fiddly (although gluing it to the top of the Vamo may have solved that problem...never got that far into the project).

That said, my Vamo has been relegated to the shelf with my Provari and mechanicals sharing roughly equal time.

I just now vaped my 20th hit on my brand spanking new ProVari Mini w/Protank. The darned thing made that rattlesnake noise right away and about gave me a heart attack! I'm messing with tightening/loosening the Protank where it connects to the ProVari, and the noise comes and goes.

I was willing to invest the extra moolah into anything more advanced than a cheapo like my smoke51.com Fifty-One Trio, and just wanted something that would stand up to my dorkiness (I drop stuff. I'm funny that way.), that wouldn't require changing the battery every danged half hour or adding juice every few hits, would produce enough vape to make me not miss the stinkies, and that wouldn't make Rum Tobacco juice taste like lemonade. I found it in the ProVari, and so far I'm loving it. That's my bottom line; it works insanely well, I don't have to fuss with it every few minutes, and I can have it serviced when I drop it. That whole Made in 'Murica thang is a bonus... :D

To each his/her own. As for me, I'm loving my new mini.

Provari .. nothing I've tried compares to it's consistency and accuracy to put out whatever voltage you need. They also maintain their value very well and will last forever. They can also be serviced if you have a problem which you most likely won't. I had an eVic for a few days and sold it. At first it was impressive but all the bells and whistles really don't mean anything if you don't have an accurate well built device first. My eVic broke the first day I got it falling off a coffee table onto a carpet floor and had to be replaced under warranty. I sold the replacement as soon as I received it.

Provari is an amazing ecig, but the price of it isn't comparable as far as performance with the eVic. If you have the extra money to blow I recommend the Provari, otherwise pick up the eVic as performance between the two are all to close.

Until you consider the fact that I (as an owner of an eVic and ProVari) consider a second head required material for any eVic owner. I have a second head for mine so I can count on it. I have had to repair my eVic three times, twice requiring re-soldering wires.

So throw another 50 bucks onto the eVic price, all of the sudden you are in the same ballpark as the ProVari. Not too mention you get higher power limits, higher voltage limits, better service, etc. with the ProVari than the eVic. And the fact that the eVic voltage (and therefore wattage) is not accurate if the volt output of the device is higher that the battery voltage. The further away you get from it, the worse it gets. The eVic is quite accurate if being asked to put out 4.2 V with a fresh battery. Halfway through the battery life, I find it is about 10% off. Towards the end of the battery life (25% or less) that discrepancy is sometimes 15% or more.

Don't get me wrong, I love the eVic. The display, the features, the VW is kinda cool. But realistically, it has a long way to go to match the ProVari, which delivers the same voltage with its last puff as it did with its first. It is tough, powerful, accurate, reliable, American made, serviced by the pros at ProVape.

I have two Lavatubes, a Vamo, an eVic, and a ProVari on its way to me. I got them in the order I listed them, starting at six months. My favorite right now is the eVic, but that may change when I unwrap my ProVari. My second favorite is my Lavatube GS sub 2.0, which is a telescoping VV mod.

I am glad I acquired them in the order I did. I do not think getting a ProVari early in your vaping career is a good choice for most vapers.

I got my ProVari after 3 months. I do not miss the vamos, evics, maxs, etc I didn't get.

I have an eGo twist and man can I say, the more expensive mods really blow this little thing out of the water. I'm still torn between the eVic or the Provari though! My dad has an eVic and its a great device for the price but it seems pretty unreliable. I have not even seen a Provari in person so I can't really compare. Should I just go straight for the Provari?

I went fromTwist to ProVari with no regrets.

How amazing to know there are so many Provape stockholders.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2

I keep running into you, kpmeth. Always with some comments, which no doubt you think are clever. Please allow me to retort.

The number of ProVape stockholders on this thread may or may not be amazing.

What I find amazing is the perceptions of those who don't own a ProVari, but still think their opinions of the device are important and insightful.

It is like hearing a lecture about childbirth given to mothers from a 9-year old child.

Now that sort of disconnect with reality is what I call amazing!

Your on a desert island for the rest of your life (with a solar charger, bunch of batts, and gallons of Boba's)...what PV?

Answer: REO Grand of course...you can take the device for a swim!!!!

In all seriousness, I've owned a Provari (sold it for a REO 2 yrs ago), and now own both the Vamo & eVic. There is no comparison on build quality and performance, the Provari is the clear winner.

However, from an innovation standpoint, the eVic does take it. The Vamo will win the "budget" buy award.

Therefore, if you can lay-down $180-$200 (with the extension), and want a non-Mech PV to stand the test of time, the Provari is the one!

I'm still holding out for the VW version of the Provari along with an upgraded display screen. If the good folks at Provape can do a little payback "cloning", I'm willing to lay down $200-$300 for a Provari again!

Until then....I'm vaping on my REO while enjoying the sunset. sunset.jpeg

Provari. Main 2 factors deciding me on the Provari, beside the usually ya ya, build, quality made in USA..... is the fact that when you have dialed in the voltage for your sweet spot on the juice you are vapping, that voltage is set in stone, it never wavers from that setting through out the charge of the battery, change out your battery, and it is still set at that voltage. The other sell point for me was the 16 second cut off for a single vape. Most every other mod, ego, cig-a-like, has a ten second cut off. I still haven't experienced the 16 second cut off on my Provari, have tried but way to much vape. On an ego style battery or other device, when you push the button and wait the 2-3 seconds for the coil to heat up and start vapping, you then only have a 7 or 8 second vape time. With the Provari you have an very effective 12 to 13 seconds of vape. Yeah that's a really big difference IMHO. Was always experiencing shut of on my egos and cig-a-likes,

And as variable anything, we all have to admit, depending on the juice we are vapping, that when you change to another flavor, you have to dial it in again. So the set it and forget it just doesn't come out in the wash/debate, that is if you are like me and try to find the best flavor and vape of your juice.

I do recommend the Provari if you are looking to upgrade from an ego. Why Dic around wasting time and frustration. I did, I'm a newbie, only been vapping just under 5 months, and am glad I have a Provari and not something else. Would have bought a VTR, if they were available, may end up getting one in the future, but will try to talk myself out of it. It was hard and still is, not to get in on the pre-buy offer.
