get out? where'd u find em for that amount? NOT with the tank kit, right?? What the heck, cheapest I could find them a week before Xmas was 46 mod only, 50 for the kit! haha. Got the tron kit N love it.

been taking a break from reg mods though.. been enjoying the new SMPL+ and some others. vaporbank ran a really great sale w/ some GREAT mech mods for under 5 bucks... LOVIN it... IDK what the hell it is, but no matter what build I use, direct-from-battery voltage just always seems perfect, thru-out the charge?? Either i'm nuts, or direct-from-batt voltage is just smoother than any reg mod can deliver... ? Anyways, when I'm not vaping mech or the kanger subox mini, the evic has a full tank & I'm lovin it. 0.5 coil at-around 12.5-14w with 12-18mg juice and ya can't go wrong. SOLID build & great design around.

Anyone else enjoying their mechs? Now that the nice quality reg mod's prices have come down, and I was able to receive 2 for X-mas this year, (the mini & subox mini) I feel like I've got enough regs... I'm just more interested in mechs these days, considering they'll last forever & they vape like a charm... From fresh charge to needs-charge, I love my mechs w/a 1ohm coil and some 12-18mg, dammit!
Sure I use my Subtank Mini's on mechs with a 1-1.2 ohm 28 ga build.
heck I even put an Ego adapter on one and sometimes put a T3S (modified) on there and vape away.
I only use mechs with 510 center pins on them.

I got my VTC Mini from MFS for $32 I think it was. Just the mod.
I get my STM stainless tanks for 23.99 at Vapor Beast.

I have an ongoing issue with the device just not registering proper resistance.
When I swap tanks, I always hit the fire button and get the proper response.
Then I screw the tank on and make sure it tight.
Then I fire get the New/Old tank and press the right button to confirm it is a new tank.
Now, it will vape well. For a time. Time being 2 minutes to 3 hours or so.
Then, I get very anemic vape. Temp Protection is shown immediately. So, I unscrew the tank, hit fore, screw the tank on, choose new tank, and vape fine.
This is all at room temperature, inside. Same Crown tanks, same coils, same juice.
I've checked the 510 pin and while tight, it does float.
The device never shows incorrect resistance, just vapes very weak. When I choose new tank, it reads the same resistance as when it is weak. The resistance is correct, or at least within .02 of what it should be.
This would be annoying in the best of circumstances, but I tighten a tank really tight to see if it was the contact.
In the morning, I unscrewed the top of the tank to top it off before leaving.
Oops, the bottom of the tank unscrewed and more than half a tank dumped right down the device, me, and my desk.
Yeah, I know, always have coffee before filling tanks.

Anyway, who has any ideas for solving this resistance issue?

Well I'm not real familiar with the VTC yet but I know on my RX200 I have better luck after getting the resistance locking it.

If you'd like to familiarize yourself with the VTC's "anemic vape" issue, read this thread.
Don't worry... not all of it.
I think it starts around page 35 or so. o_O

Yeah I use tanks on mechs as-well. currently have a 0.5 in the subtank so it'd be nice on a mech. I need to receive my new shipment of juice b4 i fill a tank, though. currently only have enough fo' drippin. Currently dripping into my smokRDA, & my brand-new (1 of 2) Plume Veil RDA, which i'm not sure if I like completely, or not.... Too many airflow control spots for me to handle, haha. Hell I don't even LIKE air. I'd rather just get my airflow from 2 holes in the 510 & be done with it :p

Those R great prices on the Emini though. Damn. Cheepest i saw mod only was like 46? Kit was fiddy. Wound-up ordering the kit from Myvaporstore considering they had a little of everything on my xmas-list. Wish I would of seen the mod for 32 bucks tho, i was looking for a way to order the Evic + Subtank for less than 45-50 dollars, so that I would wind-up with 2 subtanks, an evic, and a subox mini. Couldn't figure-out a way to do it, not with shipping charges from ordering-from mult sites, etc/etc... Overall happy w/the prices I paid for both subox-mini and evic-mini kits, though. bout' fiddy ea if i remember right. I see fasttech has subtank mini clones that use all 1:1 parts (interchangeable according to FT OGs) for cheap! I have 1 of those new-fangled ceramic-wick tanks in the mail, coming my way :) :D will let the comm know how i like it!! excited to find-out myself.

Tried the Velocity mini yet? Nice...
And cheap mod clones? Got a Templar clone for $5 at vapor bank. Nice clone.
They also have some other cheap clone mods over there.

Just the mod. Also got a second Reuleaux rx200 for $34 and a Reuleaux dna200 for $90 :) Focalecig had a Christmas platform game that you got coupon codes for depending on the level you got to :) You could get several coupons and I played for hours (it was a simple but kinda fun game) :D I just noticed that the remaining coupons are still active, but I need to buy for 5x the coupon sum to use it. Effective strategy as I really feel the urge to use the coupons even though I really, really can't afford to buy anything more.

I really loved my mechs and they are way better looking than any regulated mod I have, but I exclusively use tc nowadays. Makes me a bit sad actually :-/

Yeah, read the thread from post 1. Nothing that corrects it except for standing on your left leg while spinning counterclockwise while chanting a Beijing opera backward.
But, like I said, while it is functioning properly, it vapes really nice.
Now, excuse me. I have some chanting and spinning to do...

Could someone give me a little information on the rebuildable coils for the ego 1 mega tank? I'm currently using the titanium coil but I've heard a lot of good things about the rebuildable. Thanks in advance, Dave
Get the clrs WAY better than stock. I rebuilt with stainless on account of a nickel allergy and it is just as easy to build as my subtank mini. And a great way to improve the vape from the ego 1 ( stock coils dont wick fast enough

So after half year+ of trouble free kanthal vaping I decided to jump back into TC. Gave up long time ago on DNA40 and then lost my SX mini M. Haven't had the desire for TC frustration until the evic V3 update.

Trying TC on 28awg SS316L. Not working well. It all seems way overpowered...meaning temps too low thus too many watts.

It's also getting into a funk where I'll have it really low working with inaccurate temp...like 330F, then all the sudden it dumps 20w consistently to addy and reads in mid 200s F. I'll try reseating addy...playing with locks but doesn't change behavior. Though remove/reinstall of battery gets it back to working in the 300s.

At a loss...before built any addy today I tried cotton burn 380 - 450F on kayfunv4 gold spring. It appeared to work as expected. My test was on the default SS setting. Now with addys built it just seems way way low temps. After running into issues I've been playing around with the suggested 0092 TCR but not much difference in behavior.

I like a 12-22 watt kanthal vape depending on addy.
Is anyone using a Ubertoot, Gem, kayfunv4, or squape rs having success with SS316L?
If so, could you share details of build. Temp/power Setting, TCR, wire awg, diameter coil, # wraps, base/change resistance.

Ha. Right after post put back on ubertoot that was cooling off. Put it on 0092 M2 mode which hadn't used yet. And now it's behavior is more as expected. 450F. Strange. Maybe it's calibration issue from changing addys. It doesn't always auto ask new coil. Anyway manual way to force evic to always ask new coil question?
