Two dead EViC VTC's, original Camaros. Just nothing happens. First Mini has about bit the dust, insert battery and I get 2-8ish horizontal lines. Still fires, most of the time, wattage was around 15 before it lost its screen, I count button presses up or down and run 0.8-1.2 attys on it, pretty much a power mode only blind Lemo runner. Probably my fault for trying to colorize that screen when all the cool kids were doing it. 3 other minis alright for now, magnets half gone but at least I can run Stainless, Ti, and TCR on em, sleeves keep battery secure. One VTwo bought not long ago basically runs my Kayfun 5 permanently no real issue there.
Hoping the blind one isn't a indication of what's to come, they're great mods really. Frustrating because along with the two dead OG VTCs, I've had a ipv d2 and ipv mini 2 just die, a d3 that likes to keep it's screen running sometimes indefinitely and eats batteries for breakfast, and an ipv3 whose screen shows dots instead of info. Another working but blind mod where I have to use the five presets and count by 10s to get the watts I want. Most frustrating is the RX200 from Feb that decided there was no front 3rd battery and is done. Enclosures basically torn to pieces along with the d2 and ipv mini 2 looking for problems on the chip. The d2 does show flash screen but the buttons are ruined.
Tempted to take the RX Magnets and drill the dotty screened ipv3 door, they're about the same size as the conversion kits. So frustrating, as I have probably 30 or 40 RTA/RDA/RDTA/Clearos I could be running much more juice at once in (DIYer, for juice and coils, anyway) and everytime I see these dead mods a flash of anger creeps up my back. Especially as I have a low vape budget that goes mostly to flavorings.
Thankful for the SMPL, Skeleton Key, 26650 Nemesis, and very worn Hades should the worst happen I guess. Though the Nemi and Skeleton Key like to be SoBs half the time too. Maybe its time for something a bit more reliable, which I thought I found in the VTCs, but the OGs and ol line /blank screen have me worried. First world problems, hah.
