Received my VTwo Mini yesterday….love the ferrari red.

The settings are complicated even when i read the manual. There is one with what looks like a battery meter that says MIn and Max….cant figure out what its for.

But it vapes really well and thats all that matters.

Im on firmware 4.02….if I don't use Temp Control do I even need to bother with future updates?

I've a VTwo mini red also, tried-n-true device

I got it because of the clock and love it being there...

if it works for ya now, should be no need to upgrade
it will do about anything that is available on the market , at this time... ;)
only limit is the effort you put into it

Your mod is already quite capable to do temp control with its current firmware. As for the smart mode you can watch a demo of it in this video here. Starts at 40:23

Re: Smart Mode
I have only used one atty on my vtwo mini which was set at 8W….when I engaged smart mode….it fired the atty at 20.3 w ….luckily it was only for a second…i thought it would learn the temp I fired the atty at and replicate it….but i understand this is a new feature that may still have some bugs…either way, I don't think I'll use it again.

You can adjust that power by the up and the down buttons. But yes, it's kind of a useless mode.

Two dead EViC VTC's, original Camaros. Just nothing happens. First Mini has about bit the dust, insert battery and I get 2-8ish horizontal lines. Still fires, most of the time, wattage was around 15 before it lost its screen, I count button presses up or down and run 0.8-1.2 attys on it, pretty much a power mode only blind Lemo runner. Probably my fault for trying to colorize that screen when all the cool kids were doing it. 3 other minis alright for now, magnets half gone but at least I can run Stainless, Ti, and TCR on em, sleeves keep battery secure. One VTwo bought not long ago basically runs my Kayfun 5 permanently no real issue there.

Hoping the blind one isn't a indication of what's to come, they're great mods really. Frustrating because along with the two dead OG VTCs, I've had a ipv d2 and ipv mini 2 just die, a d3 that likes to keep it's screen running sometimes indefinitely and eats batteries for breakfast, and an ipv3 whose screen shows dots instead of info. Another working but blind mod where I have to use the five presets and count by 10s to get the watts I want. Most frustrating is the RX200 from Feb that decided there was no front 3rd battery and is done. Enclosures basically torn to pieces along with the d2 and ipv mini 2 looking for problems on the chip. The d2 does show flash screen but the buttons are ruined.

Tempted to take the RX Magnets and drill the dotty screened ipv3 door, they're about the same size as the conversion kits. So frustrating, as I have probably 30 or 40 RTA/RDA/RDTA/Clearos I could be running much more juice at once in (DIYer, for juice and coils, anyway) and everytime I see these dead mods a flash of anger creeps up my back. Especially as I have a low vape budget that goes mostly to flavorings.

Thankful for the SMPL, Skeleton Key, 26650 Nemesis, and very worn Hades should the worst happen I guess. Though the Nemi and Skeleton Key like to be SoBs half the time too. Maybe its time for something a bit more reliable, which I thought I found in the VTCs, but the OGs and ol line /blank screen have me worried. First world problems, hah.

Whenever one of my Mods die...to keep things in perspective...I divide what it cost by $73.40 (the cost of a carton of analogs in The 'Burgh)...

So...if I bought the Mod for $73.40...divided by 73.40 = 1 carton of analogs...which would have lasted me less than 1 week when I was a smoker...

WOW! i didn't realize how much the price had increased in the 2 years i've been off them. here in loosiana the cost always was lower, but damn. i like the way you look at the dead mod issue - kinda ;-)

Thank you for putting things into perspective! I too was a carton a week, so that makes me feel better. I am still a bit ornery about that oh so praised rx200, and I miss the ipv mini II, I liked the feel of it in hand. On the bright side, the battery cover magnets from the rx200 did fit the ipv3 perfectly, minimal drilling and super glue required due to their thickness(rather, lack thereof). So my starry screened ipv3 now has a magnetic door :)

Wow. You are either really hard on mods or have had a really bad run of them! (Jumpin' takes time to thank the Force for having better luck.) The only mod I've had die on me in nigh 3 years of vaping is an iStick 30 (knocking on wood). :)
