Ah, I see. Then 316L must be the better choice.
Please excuse me for interjecting a different possibility then.
I'm sorry you dislike logic and get upset when confronted by it. I said nothing on the subject of which is better though, and even if I'd have an opinion in the matter I don't take it personally if people choose a different wire type than me. But to each their own...

Anway i didnt get my SS316L sorted out until i read the whole chunk of thread in here.
I was having repeating TCR protect issues like most while my previous build was using 0.3ohms coils 5 wraps tight.
This fresh build works like 10mins or so and either on next session or next tank fill up, the TCR protect will kinda start creating havoc and lead me to no choice but to use power mode until the need to change my coil.
I did mix and match the suggestions and tips form here which lead me to using 6 wraps spaced, 3mm dia which have a 0.35ohms resistance and work pretty well from that point.
I'm sharing my settings which maybe it might work for some and currently still working a ok to me :)

316 generally works fine in TC as well.
Its' TCR isn't that far from 430's, considering all SS is damn low compared to Ni and Ti.

It's just that 430 should be and apparently is... demonstrably better.
The availability and market uptake however is, like many examples... inexplicable.

We should have been using 430 from the start... we just didn't. Go figure.

I'd like to try 430. Any US sites carrying different sizes?

I never did shop around once I got some 316 from Unkamen, though it doesn't show up much when I do browse around vape wire vendors.

I need to do the resistance comparisons for 430 and NiFe as well, to see what gauges I'd like, and get some thinner 316 as well. Wanting to work up some higher res builds.

I just don't experiment enough... still using up my 24 and 26G 316.

VTC Mini VTwo is "ok", got one yesterday. Just don't like the slippery silicon sleeves. I am so over iSticks and their threading/connector problems. iStick 40W TC was the biggest piece of c**p ever. I am glad I tossed it out :) Innokin Disrupter also stopped working from one day to the other. So Joyetech for now.

wow, must be hard to please :D

also just got the VTwo mini - it is very nice and I love the clock 'on board'
silicone sleeve makes mine tacky a very cool to hold on to, then kinda bumper cushion (+protection)

and funny enuff I thought the TC 40 was a great little device, after a good thrashing mine still works great (wish it had replace battery)

yepper, my table top is full of Joyetech / eLeaf / Wismic products, they do good by me...

good luck

I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm up to 12 (I think... scared to count) and I still want a second Pico. Kinda snuck up on me, I don't know what happened. o_O

But they're spread across a year and include 3 i30s, an i50, and the 40TC and i100 from the 2nd Gen. And an RX.
So I guess half are the modern full feature TC jobbies. That's not so bad. :p

I still have a 30W and this one works perfectly to the day! The 40W TC worked 2 months and then started to have all sorts of problem, connector related but also chip. (It recognized the atomizer and Ohms correctly, but didn't fire etc.) Sometime I needed to fiddle for an hour, then it magically worked. Next morning, wife complained again it stopped working etc. VERY annoying since I fiddled with it more than we actually used it.
As for the Evic, I don't say it's bad, AT ALL. I actually like it, just need a leather case.

just a thought, anyone can make a real time clock on the vtc mini like the vtwo mini?

We'll need a VTwo Mini .bin update file to load on the VTC, I don't think one is out yet.

Also keep in mind... JoyeTech was a little peeved when a few early users got away with loading the VTC .bin on their Presas. So JT changed the code and that ended that.
It's possible they're ahead of the game this time around.

but would you know if it's gonna be a hardware limitation to port that vtwo mini bin to the vtc mini?

No, don't know yet. I was going to edit that in my post but... glitchy server. :)

If, and it may be a big if, the VTC board can handle/process the new functions... then we maybe have a shot at a crossover. Again... if JT don't head us off at the pass. :p

Since the thread is a LONG one could you possibly list the atties you haven't got to work with this due to 510 not beign suitable?
Would hate to buy a great tank to only find out it has too short/long 510.

Can't vouch for the accuracy, some wonder if Daniel had pre-production samples for some of his measurements, but this is worth a look anyway...

510 Connectors Length
