Here's something I haven't seen before. Running the new firmware and had the resistance locked at 0.53. I changed the battery and it showed the resistance as 0.51 until I pressed the fire button. This is known behavior but I've never seen it reject a lower resistance and hold the higher, locked reading.
I like it. This is the second day with my resistance locked in and not budging.

Hello, i am new here. I have since one week my vtc mini working with ss in ni mode. Its perfect, at the beginning i had a not intensive taste, then i screw out more the positive screw of my flash e vapor 3 clone. Then i had a better connection and a very good taste. My coil has 0,8ohm, not locked but stays there now for almost a week. Temperature between 115 and 125 Celsius, depends of liquid. I run it between 28 and 32watt, i see how the temperature grow and stays after some seconds at point. For me it tuns very well. Hardware 1.06, Firmware 1.1.

As mentioned before it is all about your personal liking. I for example vape different juices on different temps. My wattage is mostly set to 30 watts if I use tanks. For bakery flavours i prefer lower temps as 180°C to 240 °C. For fruits I go for 240°C to 270°C. Just play around with it ;)

Just a quick question has anyone done a dry cotton burn test on the mini as I'm seeing discolouration even at low temps or am I doing something wrong?
mine doesnt fire withou any wicks
if it has a dry wick still fires but like 5-10watts
causing discoloration but it does hit temp protect
i think it just how the mini works ;)

even at actual vaping if hte cotton is about to go dry you will notice that it will weaken the vape.then hit temp protect almost immediately,
time for refill,

so fat its fine
haven't had done the dry cotton test
since initially we dont have a dry wick error :)

Thanks for advice, but I don't care about the tank, just wanted confirmation if it's only mod or a full kit.

ok now my turn, had a local shop make a ti coil for me(so i get free wire hahahaha)
dual coils and let the newly built coil rest
locked resistance, vaped ok when i was there,
so far so good, went home about half an hour drive, ate another hour ,then vaped

well it looks like mine is also fixed ;)

hahahahahaha happy camper now
i personally think ti is still a bit under powered but thats ok,
happy that mine was fixed now.

I have update the latest firmware and i have to said it did have slight improvement on the temp limiting..work on Ni200 and occasionally on TI(mod swing)

Pop by b&m shop and explained the anemic vape and apparently they know the issue..offer one to one exchange and leave me no choice but to accept the offer..while they are processing the paperwork..I decided to get one more mod and now mini will be my third standby tc mod..:D

Yeah I can't seem to break the habit of opening my dripper after 6 or so draws to check the wick! Old habits and all that ;).
Last night playing around I had a couple of hits where my juice tasted burnt cos I was messing about with higher temps but the wick was ok but when I did a rewick I thought I'd see what temp would singe the cotton and even at 100°c it fired like you said zeus01 5-10 watts and it was smoking!:evil:

Glad to hear your b+m was clued up on the issue, my guess is its becoming more widespread now people are realising there is a problem. Like the comparison there its don't look that much bigger than the mini surprisingly. Think I may have to invest in one, boy am I in for some ear ache! :D

It is not the full kit. I bought an istick 40 tc from the and the listing said it was a full kit and it came without the tank.

This listing was modified from the full kit the were selling for $45.00 before to be for the mod only rater thn create a new listing. They really need to get a new web guy.

Temp set at ? Power set at ? for better vape experience

I find the best practice is to find the temp I like to vape the current juice at first. The wattage is set based on the ramp up time I'm looking for. I prefer instant-on. So I set the wattage low, watch the screen as I vape, and crank the wattage until it hits temp protection within half a second. If the mod hits temp protect earlier than that you risk a burnt wick when it starts to run dry. If you want the vape to come on smoother simply shoot for a longer delay until temp protection kicks in.

Couple of things I've discovered - 20 clicks gives you the firmware version and if you press the left and fire button when the unit is off then you'll get the remaining battery voltage.

now when you press and hold left and right button while the power is off it will flip the display :)

Got the mini in the mail today from ecig. Came early, so that was a pleasant surprise. Threw a batt in and screwed an atty on it and noticed the atty sat cockeyed. Bummer. I unscrewed it a bit and noticed, using slight force I could rock the atty a tiny bit. Doesn't seem real secure. I am able to get the atty to sit flush if I apply a bit of load on the atty while screwing it down. It doesn't seam to effect anything as far as I can see, just my ocd. Just wondering if anybody else has this issue. I really don't want to deal with an exchange for a 35 dollar item, but if I'm the only one that has this issue, maybe I should. Other wise, what a great little device. Very small and stealthy in hand. Love the screen, and the recent firmware update will put this way ahead of the sigelei 75w tc I got rid of so I could get this in it's place. I won't do the update right away, until I figure out If I'm keeping it or exchanging it.
