I just got one of these yesterday(I know late to the party), haven't had a chance yet to test it much though. Certainly better than my eleaf 40w TC that I had previously.
Perfect... win your game... flat your battery.
Jeez... just buy a $20 Pay-as-You-Go Android phone and don't activate it.
Still... someone's cracked the installers. What's next?![]()
That would be done much more easily by using a crappy rewrap battery and setting the watts to 75.Great. Someone will turn it into a detonation device. Then we won't be able to get vaping gear anywhere near a plane. Oh... That's already happening. Never mind.
My Evic Mini has been doing the anemic vape for a while now, and I just bought the WISMEC Presa and it has the exact same issue! Does anybody know if the Cuboid or Cuboid Mini has this issue? Thanks!
I thought the resistance "refinement" issue had been dealt with over the latest few updates, and hadn't heard of it in any of the other JT models in this series.
I expect more details are in order.
Definitely, the thicker the wire the more wattage you would want to apply.if you're getting anemic vape in tc mode make sure you have the watts turned up high enough. i had been running at 25 - 30, but found bumping up to 45 or so helped a lot with 10 wraps of 24 ga. ti at 3.5 mm id.
I wish the puff timer were displayed full time instead of amps. Better yet how about a display of elapsed mah, another way to check battery capacity.not just the installers - there seems to be an entire SDK for the Evic VTC mini:
GitHub - ReservedField/evic-sdk: An open source SDK for the Joyetech eVic VTC Mini.
In theory we now could hack our own firmware with TC and locking and TCRs just the way we like it. For everyone who thinks Joyetech did a crappy job implementing TC, hack away!
(Found that project some time ago and wanted to play with hack-my-own TC implementations, but just couldn't find the time yet)
With stainless I can switch back and forth for a direct comparison. Temp control wins. In power mode I use 20 watts. If I go higher I tend to overheat the 1.25 ohm coils I prefer. But I would rather be at 30 watts. With TC I can have 30 watts and set a temp limit so the coil never overheats. So set watts where ever and then pick a temp limit just below overheating. Having said all that my coils are high resistance so watts can be lower. That's uncool but it's because I'm old and only want to see stuff blow up in youtube videos.I'm beginning to believe that some vapers simply aren't happy with the realities of TC. TC may or many not be working correctly. People may simply not like what TC is capable of giving them with their builds.
