evic-vtc mini 510 problem

Just a heads up: I finally went to buy my eVic Mini and was able to try my Subtank Mini on their display model. Unfortunately there was a huge gap and very disconcerting wobble. I bought it anyway since the Apex 5 that's on its way to me will be the main tank for that mod.

But... Lo and behold, when I unpackaged my new eVic Mini and tried the same Subtank on it the fit was perfect. Superbly flush and tight.

I have actually used a spacer cut from 3x5 index cards. Usually just to avoid "510 rash", but can be used to fill gaps.
I just take a hole punch (perfect size for a male 510), punch a hole, insert atomizer, trace around atty, and cut out the circle. Works great to get exact size of atty, regardless of whether its a 19mm, 22mm, 23mm, etc.
Started doing this when I had a Provari with a fixed 510 and wanted to keep my beauty ring from spinning when I used atty's with a longer 510 connection.
Lowes and Home Depot also have some good rubber and nylon washers in the specialty bolt section that work well too, and only cost a few cents.

Yeah, I was all set to do one of the work-arounds but luckily there was no need. I saw some cool protective silicon rings online so I might pick one up if I run into the problem again. Thanks for the Home Depot tip. :)
