its sad to see people say they avoided the evic vtc kit due to bad reviews on the ego-one tank. its truly a great tank with a fantastic airflow control ring. sad to see, indeed. i use mine daily with no issues.
I like the Ego One mega tanks too. I have three of them and use the 0.5 ohm clr coil heads. They're much better than the stock coils and rebuildable.

For the gap I get with some tanks I just cut out a circle of craft foam and punch a hole for the 510 connector. It pads the mod from scratches, stops any leaks I may get from going into the mod and fills the gap nicely.

I did notice that the black Ego One Mega base didn't thread as smoothly as the stainless base that I have. It was the same with both black ones. They did thread but kind of made me feel as if they would cross thread if I wasn't very careful. The stainless wasn't like that at all.

10% agree, Tested before handing to my New to Vaping, Wife. Excellent wicking and air flow. Perfect for any beginner/intermediate vaper.
Ti coil and proper TC setup = a Great vape.

I will no doubt try the ego one out as I'd like to form my own opinion on it and I did pay for it after all but got the Kanger mini as a back up, just in case. I do like the Kanger minis as I have them on two other mods so it can be used for anything really if need be. :)
I hope I have good results with it as you do bc it does look nice together.

vigga please, it's an amazing tank & I'm SURE you'll enjoy it, NO DOUBT!

I love the people saying that its a Kanger issue. In part it maybe because the 510 might be longer than other tanks, that's what I read on this thread. My experience has been if you tighten it down enough it will sit flush at leas on the three mods I have. But back to the main point that I haven't gotten to yet. ALL tanks will wobble unless they are sitting flush.

yeah, it wobbles on all of my mods, until i tighten it down flush to the mod, then it's great. U really just have to make sure that you are doing something (a maneuver) to ensure it is not cross-threading, or otherwise screwing-down in a wonky fashion. IE: make sure that you are pulling UP the entire-time you are screwing down the tank's threads... With that, your threads will not cross over and it'll be perfect. OR you can alternatively press down really hard when screwing it in, and that prevents X-threddin' as-well. ;)

The only thing that I have found to prevent cross threading 100% of the time, and I might as well be a mechanic with as many bolts I turn on a daily bases, is to start off gently. if you feel resistance unscrew and start over. if your start off gently and your not screwing strait the threads simply wont catch and even if they do you wont cause any damage.

Well, what I described above, seems to work for me. I usually PULL UP when I screw down my tanks, the entire time, and, that seems to work for me. I haven't EVER cross-threaded or ruined threads in all my 7 years of vaping, except for the locking ring on my Smoktech Telescope mod, but, I think those threads were probably doomed from the factory and it wasnt my fault- altho, i didn't use my signature PULL UP method, when unscrewing/screwing that lock ring in and out, so, it may-of been my fault. idk. (doubt it) But yeah, I pull-UP an that seems 2 work just-fine for me!

I find it really hard to actually cross thread most mods and tanks. so the fact is there are probably many techniques that work well.

My VTC mini didn't come with the ego one mega tank. I just bought the mod. I have seen that they have moved to a new tank they are including with the VTC-mini. I don't like the look, but I heard it was a pretty good tank. It uses the same coils as the ego one mega and you can choose between a side view window or a top view window where you have to tilt the tank on it's side to see how much fluid is remaining in the tank.

The 510 drip tip is pretty standard. Most tanks/drippers that come with a chuff cap also have a 510 tip adapter. Maybe a couple of standard sized chuff caps would be nice though?
Aspire drip tips do not fit on some tanks. They are bigger in diameter wher they are inserted. Just to explain myself on how I know this...
A bunch of us at work vape. When we are out in the pit, sometimes we try eachothers setups or flavours. So I'll hand off my setup but keep my tip in exchange for another's setup so I can try theirs without exchanging saliva and whatnot. A few of the guys have aspire tanks such as the nautilus or triton. Those tips do not fit into my kanger stm.

Weird. I switch tips between tanks all the time. Right now I have my Nautilus, Billow2, and Trident tips on Kayfuns. My Atlantis tip is on my Plume Veil, and the PV tip is on my Tugboat. And I put the chuff cap off my rampage on my Velocity, though that did require a different o-ring for a tighter seal.
Let me rephrase what I said. I can switch tips between tanks and rdas but some I have to really wedge in, others fit and work fine but they wobble like hell and fall out easy (like if I put in in my pocket). However there are some that I cant get to fit aside from smashing it in with a hammer and others that just wont stay in and create a tight seal no matter what.
