Hi Fran,The Evo in my opinion gives a much better throat hit than the 901 and vapor for that matter, atleast to me or the maybye its the one i own.I personally love the thing, i recently bought a 901 and im kinda the opposite of you, i wish it was the 901 i didnt order.I mean its not bad, its ok, easier to top off with liquid thats true, but vapor and throat hit the evo outperforms it every time..I think you got a bad one or something dude to be honest, but anyway good luck and i hope you get it settled with them!

I can respect that, WhaTchoo. Everyone has a different opinion, and experience. I do however think that the atomizer for my evo is faulty, so I ordered an atomizer from puresmoker. It should be here in a few days, so I'll see what the real deal is then.

Im hoping that this will solve the prob.
One thing I do like about the evo is that even though I havent been getting a good hit, the liquid seems to have a better taste than with the 901.

And if it doesnt work, I was able to contact Intellicig and he is kool with me returning it for a refund. No biggie

Nice review Terraphon. Is your experience with the batteries the same as others have mentioned? About the same as the Evo?

I used my Pilot today for the first time. The battery just didn't last as long as the Evo. I was pretty surprised. I ordered another Pilot battery today, so we'll see if it's just that one. Had a full 12 hour charge.

I definitely like the idea of ordering parts from the US rather than the UK. Slightly cheaper from the UK, but shipping time is longer. Just good to have that option.

I've found that they're about the same. The evo battery may have a bit more endurance but they're comparable.

It seems, though, that some of Steve's batteries are faulty. I've tried talking to him about this but he's been giving me a bit of the old duck, dodge and run.

My friend Ryan has pilot batteries that only last 1-2 hours, tops and even the slightest vibration (like...rolling across a glass table-top) will light them up and start draining them. For some reason Steve doesn't want to replace them...He'd rather me go through endless troubleshooting and talk about how his batteries will light up from simply picking up a handful of them.

If you're experiencing endurance issues, you may look into how sensitive they are. You may find that they're lighting up when they shouldn't be and that's what's causing them to die out faster.

It's funny you say that, but it makes total sense. This happened when I took it off the charger this AM. Rolled about a foot and lit up. I thought to myself that "my Evo doesn't do this." It was still early and I was in a hurry so I didn't give it more thought. I bet that's what's happening. Keeping it in my pocket all day probably didn't help.

I'm sure you're right on the money, here.

I got my Pilot about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I can attest to their sensitivity. At work I have to hide in a corner outside or in my car due to the slightest breeze starting my atty up. Pretty annoying. But as far as vapor and flavor this M401 kicks my older 901s in the coin purse. Too bad the Intellicig site is closed due to the FDA. I will probably never get my hands on one of those batteries now.

I love both the evo and the pilot. But when it comes to sensitivity I have to agree with previous posters: the pilot is ultra-sensitive. Even when driving, if I have any window open in the car the pilot battery will light up and stay lit. I have to vape with all the windows up if I have my pilot with me. The evo on the other hand doesn't experience that problem for whatever reason.

Have you ever been to a club/bar with loud music?
Unfortunately my (favourite) EVO ALWAYS lights up .:(

Anyone know where to get pilot atomizers besides puresmoker?

www.Dietsmokes.com has comparable prices and attys that are compatable. I have heard of some issues with shipping with them, but I think that is across the board these days. Personally I can't attest to that because I live close and have been to Parked's shop with Maccar44 to pick up a few things, nice guy. His attys come in red, yellow, white, and soon blue I think. Same atty as on your pilot as well as EVOs, if it's one of the newer ones. Steve and Parked get them from the same place, they just after market them to look unique.
