Just have to throw this out there, I've been vaping pretty much strictly with Vision clearomizers so far, I was enjoying them but not enjoying the occasional dry hits / leaking.

I went to a vape shop with the intention of buying a Kanger ProTank, however the guys in there let me try the new EVOD first and IT'S AWESOME!

Good looks, masses of vapour and I'm tasting my juices like never before!

Just had to share!

I find myself wishing I had bought 3 EVODs instead of 1 ProTank. :2c: That being said, the ProTank holds more juice, and resists some juices that create problems for polycarb tanks/clearomizers. For my purposes, the EVODs work better, as they are lighter, hold enough juice for an outing, and don't seem to have the vacuum/leaking problems at low juice levels that plague the ProTank.
Your personal vaping style may make the ProTank a good choice.

I love my evods, no dry hits and with cotton wicks the flavor is great. I never could get into top coils clearo's as I just hate dry hits. If you do get a protank be careful with it. The 510 connection seems to break off if you look at it cross. I have been looking at this tank that takes evod coils. https://www.ikenvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DBOX1

Yep, glad you made this thread. I've been trying to spread the word ever since I started back up vaping (Mid-April). I decided on my own to get a few ego-twist batteries, some cartos, and an evod BCC. BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE.

Honestly, I understand vaping is a hobby for many of us.....and so I understand why people buy tons of devices, and explore and try out many different things. HOWEVER, for anyone new, or advanced a like......if you are looking for a cheap device that will give you AMAZING vape.......the Evod BCC is worth trying out.

I honestly think it is in a class all by itself. I've tried several delivery systems now since then....and honestly, the evod so far is still the all around best device I've tried.

In my daily rotation now, I have 2 evod's and 1 pro tank. I recommend you still try out the pro tank when you get a chance. There are a FEW things about the EVOD that are SLIGHTLY weak points.....and the pro tank substitutes for that.

The pro tank, together with the evod....provide me everything I need from day to day as far as vaping goes.

Not to mention, both the pro tank and evod are built to last.....have EXTREMELY cheap replacement coils (5 packs are about 6 bucks), and you can re-build the coils if you want, relatively EASY.

Also I often carry my PV in my pocket so a smaller tank works better at the minute.

That said if the ProTank is that good, I'd definitely consider it for home use.

If you like the EVODs are much as you say, you'll probably really enjoy the pro tanks too. As I said in my post above, I use the evods and pro tanks exclusively now.....

One really isn't better than the other. They are both similar in a way (bottom coil), and they both make up what the other lacks.

The main differences:

1) Pro tank has a bit of a cooler vape.
2) Pro tank hits more airy, unless you cover up the air holes
3) Pro tank holds more juice than evod
4) My evoid coils gunk up quicker than pro tank coils (I go through about 2-3 coils on my evod for every coil I go through on my pro tank)
5) Pro tank uses the 510 threading, evod uses the ego threading
6) Pro tank can handle juices that evod can't (because pro tanks are pyrex)

Similarities:

1) Both bottom coil
2) Both designed VERY well, and built to last
3) Both have replaceable coils, which are very cheap
4) Pro tank can take evod coils, in fact, many people prefer evod coils on the pro tank
5) both coils are rebuildable

I'll be stepping up to evods once my ce4's crap out. I'm looking forward to that day.

I dunno, I wouldn't wait that long if I were you. You can go ahead and order one evod bcc to try it out, and if you like it, use the ce4's as back up.

The evod bccs are pretty cheap, they sell from $5-$8.

Also a big fan of EVOD's. I own one ProTank as well, but like my EVOD's just as much, other than the few small negatives (mainly that EVOD's aren't pyrex). For anyone even the least bit interested in rebuilding coils, I absolutely recommend doing so with the EVOD's. There are quite a few YouTube videos explaining how it is done, and coming from a beginner I can say it was really quite easy.

I'm a huge fan as well. Been using them off and on for a month, took a little bit to completely give up the analogs. It's perfect for me. Cheap, cheap heads, and compact size combined with good looks. It holds enough juice to get me through a twelve work shift though I do take a spare. Just ordered four more to have as back-ups.

I've always been curious, because I haven't taken the plunge and started rebuilding the coils yet (i've been saving all my pro tank and evod coils that are spent in an old empty pill bottle).

Do you replace the flavor wick? Or just toss the old one and leave it out?

If you don't replace the flavor wick, does the evod leak? Does it work any different?

Already spent this months budget. :) I have 1 red, 1 blk, 1 stainless and 10 coils in my cart for July 1st @ 12:01am.
