I have been using pro tanks and t3s clearos but ive been reading from people that swear by their evods. Is there that much of a difference?

Yes, there is quite a difference.

The evod bcc, and the pro tank were both my first delivery systems (next to cartomizers), and to this day, both are the best I've tried, out of TONS of delivery systems.

I no longer use the evod, because now I ONLY use pyrex or polypro....but besides that, the evod produces a superior vape, IMO, to the pro tank.

Differences between the evod and pro tank:

1) Pro tank is pyrex, evod is polycarb (certain juices crack/melt the evod)
2) Pro tank holds more liquid
3) The draw from the evod is both A) Tighter, and B) warmer than the draw from the pro tank
4) IMO, the evod produces MUCH stronger flavor than the pro tank, which I feel gives a muted/more subtle flavor

No. Not really. The evod may provide some greater consistency due to not having as many threaded/removable parts.

My evods has the same amount of removable parts as my pro tank does. I do believe the NEWER version of the pro tank, along with the pro tank 2 (obviously) have more removable parts.

The evod and the pro tank most definitely do produce a different vape. Just HOW different is relative to the user, I suppose....but for me personally, the difference between the evod and the pro tank was VERY noticeable.

Not in my experience. I actually prefer the Tabac BCC/T3 and mini T3. I like the entire Kanger BCC line.

It really comes down to personal preference/perception. Get an eVod and try it for yourself. :)

I use Evods, Protanks and mt3s on a regular basis, as others have said, there are some differences in the vapor which the Protank and Evod produces, my preference varies based on what liquid I'm vaping. I think the Evod production is more similar to the t3s than the Protank line. Also the draws on the various clearomizers varies and which one is "best" is all down to personal preference (and in my case also dependent on the liquid I'm vaping)

Just started using BCC Kangertech T3S. Ive tried EVOD and mini ProTank....kanger makes some good stuff..

T3S suits me...the loose draw gets some getting used to...cooler hit also. .and with 2.5 ohm coils that came with them needs more than 3.7
Volts to work really well. Will try 2.2 and 1.8 with standard ego batts. VV batts that go to 4.8 work perfect.
Spininer and Twist both perform about the same imho.

I have both the Evod's and PT2's and really can't tell much difference between them. I use the PT's at home and in the car (I drive a lot) on my Vamo and carry a 1300 ego battery with an Evod on it for pocket use.

The T3 and Evod are very similar in design and wouldn't imagine there would be much difference in how they perform. Were in not for the fact they have different coils (I rebuild) I would probably buy the T3's as they hold more. I know, I could rebuild them also but then I would have to remember which goes with what and I'm old and suffer from halfzimers (I only forget half of everything).

I'm fairly new to vaping compared to most here. But a Kanger EVOD starter kit was my first venture away from the store bought BLU I used to quit tobacco.
It has worked great for me.
Now, I have an MVP, and I have been going back and forth between the EVOD and the two iclear 16's that came with it.
In some ways I like the iclears more...but I do like the solid feel of the EVOD, and they perform very well...I will probably always have some.

The FUNCTIONAL difference between the Evod and Protank:
Evod is Smaller in Diameter
Evod is Shorter
in Evod - E-liquid warms quicker
Vapor is closer to the Tip and is delivered much warmer.
This difference in Vape temperatures Gives the Evod the Flavor advantage.

Mechanical differences(Negated by new multi-application heads)
Original Evod Heads had a thicker Base allowing less air flow around the 510 connection.
Evod center pin had smaller air hole
Evod short Tube(on coil head) had smaller opening, tightening draw.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I really like the Kanger gear and since i went with a vvvw MVP2 in addition th the vv e-gos they have only gotten better. The airy draw isn't a bad thing for me, I actually prefer it to the milkshake thru a straw draws ive had on other things. I'm mostly looking for more flavor.

Evods, Protanks, and Kangers are somewhat easy to rebuild. Me, I'm not a rebuildable person, but I watched a guy today re-coil his Evod head, used cotton for wicking material, and then used a drill press to fatten up the air holes on the base. I tried it... the thing hit like a champ. Still not my bag, but it was impressive.

EVODs are all I use. Tried other tank systems, just didn't seem to have the quality. I couldn't get past the metallic taste of the ProTank. I wish I could because it was a great setup for me.

You are luck sir :) I happen to be so sensitive to the metallic taste, that I actually rarely eat with metal forks or spoons. In my house, I use plastic silverware for myself (metal for everyone else).

The pro tank , when I first got it, had such a nasty metallic taste to it that I nearly gave it up....until someone posted on here to try soaking it in white vinegar for 10 minutes, and then washing it VERY well. It WORKED.

Give it a try if you ever come across a pro tank again...it will completely neutralize any metallic taste.

I have used both, and had to quit on the evods. I think to date I've had about 10 of them, and only 2 are still functioning after a couple of months.
Every other has had splitting issues where the mouthpiece and reservoir meet. Eventually the mouth piece separates, or the crack works it's way into the tank area and causes leaking. I've had a handful of friends with the same issue. I've used original kangers and knockoffs, and both have done the same thing.

I switched to protank mini 2's for my super compact setup and haven't looked back. As far as flavor or vapor, neither are particularly noteworthy compared to anything, though that's a given in a clearo. The protanks are more expensive, but should hopefully last longer and don't have the plastic tank issue.

Yep....it is the reason I *only* use pyrex or polypro now.

Polycarb is just poor material for vaping. Many people think if they avoid cinnamon they are fine, and you couldn't be further from the truth. Polycarb reacts with lots of e-liquids, and overtime, is likely to crack even if you avoid cinnamon.

My two evods cracked after 3 months of daily use (which actually isnt' bad when you think about it, at $6 a pop) and my pro tank just had its glue melted using cinnamon.

I've learned my lesson - no polycarb, and no glue, lol. Luckily, carto tanks don't have this problem....and tanks that use polypro or pyrex without glue dont have this problem ;)
