Evods, Evods, everywhere but not not a drop to vape?

I'm a really impatient vapor, I want my flavor and I want it now, so it's not unusual for me to just buy a brand new set of evods everytime I order new flavors to try. (I need to get a new atomizer, my small $5 one taste like lysol since I cleaned it up with a lysol wet wipe like a fool)

Anyway, I'm use to the kangertech evods because it's where I started, but where some are fine because the flavors in them are very bold and I got all the flavor, there are some where the flavor is really weak and deluded tasting compared to what it is in a dripping atty or are just having issues.

I have a couple that seem to be clogged and I'm getting nothing out of them, they don't even fire when screwed on to my MVP v2 (which I find odd) and then I get a weak taste on my E-gos. I think whatever I'm doing is wrong, I blow through them to make sure the air is escaping out of the air flow and sometimes some residue comes out with it, I'll get a small good vape and then it's clogged again. What am I doing wrong? I fill up the tank not getting anything in the center hole so I don't understand how this is happening. I'm sick of priming, gurgling, and clogging, I just want some good pure flavor with an everyday vape.

I am finding with the EVODs they seem to be very temperamental with itaste batteries. I have some EVODs that work on my itaste v3 and some that don't. They just will not fire. And yes, the flavors for me become muted as the atomizer gets older therefore I change them.

I am in the process of changing over to mini Protanks 2, for 2 reasons. One I don't seem to have any issues with them firing on my itaste batteries and they can handle my tank cracker flavors. I've been pleased with them so far. And yes they use the same atomizers as the EVODs so the switch is pretty easy.

Maannnnnn maybe I should just be done with evods and stick to dripping for testing new juices, and some pro tanks for my all day vapes

CravinVapes, the B+M, where my vaping journey started let you taste the flavors before hand and had them all neatly in Kanger Evods and every sample delivered the flavor quite well and flawlessly. I feel like I've been set up for unrealistic expectations regarding these little buggers.

I see some people remove these flavor wick things, I've tried that as well and I didn't get much of a difference except more clogging sometimes

You are experiencing a couple of problems all due to use.

1) Not firing on the MVP V2. The MVP V2 for some reason Innokin decided to recess the positive post pin down further. Remedies - Get 510 to 510 or 510 to Ego adapter, this should have a floating center pin to help with connection, or take a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers, and very gently wiggle the center pin on the Evod head out just a nudge, this will work on all Kanger BCC heads also, then re-attach the tank to the MVP until seated, this will reseat the tank center pin and make contact completely, just remember a nudge not fully or halfway out.

2) Muted flavors and such, rinse out the heads under warm water, then place it back on the base, take the top chimney tube and seal o-ring off, attach the base to a battery, and in 3-5 second pulses, fire the head, it will sizzle and such at first being wet with water, then begin to vaporize the water and other things in the wicks, then shortly after start glowing redish orange, once you get the coil to glow evenly bright orange or red, take it off the battery, re-assemble the top chimney and o-ring onto the head, rinse again under warm tap water let sit out to dry. After this process when dry the wicks should be whittish again as well as the coil should look shiney, not black, may have a couple dark rings at the outside coil wires, but the head should be clean. When disassembled, if the wicks look crystalized and black, or badly scorched, the wick is gone, needs replacing, or rebuilding.

I've had the same issues. I'm a "newbie" so I'm not sure if you should follow my advice, but try changing out the atomizer head.

I'm too chicken to remove flavor wicks for fear of flooding my tanks. I use a 50/50 blend for my juice so it seems to be just fine leaving the wicks in. I've heard to only remove the wick if you use a higher VG ratio.

I haven't had much luck on dripping! I need to still figure out how to not get a burnt taste. ick! My Protanks have been great for me. I am getting the mini's with the removable drip tips and finding drip tips that won't melt under my tank crackers so that I can color code my flavors. I'm a tank swapper! I like to have a new flavor available when I want a new flavor! LOL so I guess you can say I'm pretty impatient as well.

perhaps you are getting better flavor on your MVP v2 is because it is a variable voltage/wattage device and your egos are not? I discovered variable voltage not long ago and I will tell you that the flavors exploded on me that my poor little non variable battery just left flavors in the dust. When I go into the stores to test flavors, they do seem to have flavor, but i'm not sure if that is due to them using new atomizers or just my taste buds just wake up to the new flavor.. not sure about that one yet. :D

I was having major problems with clogging the Coil For Kanger T3 with JC Vanda. They use two wicks one for the coil and one on top.Unscrew the bottom coil for the Kanger with out leaking out your juice.Take the small gasket off and remove the hollow pin gently.

Remove the top wick and chuck it ,and burn out the juice in the coil wick.Three 3 seconds hold on the power. You will need a ego type manual bat to do this. Now replace the top wick with what ever you use for wicks, and put a very small drop of your e-juice on the new wick.Put the pin back in place with small gasket, and cut the wick on each side a tad longer then what you c! when you removed it.You can only do this one time after that replace it all.Screw it all back :)

Never dry toot!

Okay I'm angered now.

One of my purple evods, which I had sitting on my shelf completely leaked out my lovely mixture of Pink Spot Vapor's Candy Cane that had a little Hazlenut in it making one of the best vapes I've ever had go all over my shelf, so now I'm out of Candy Cane and I'm not in the market for anymore juice right now (I say before I plot which vendor I'll buy juice from this week)

I think it's time I make a switch from having a whole box of evods and these GS-H2 pieces of craps to going the carto route with a few reliable tanks for my all day vapes.

I have a couple iClears that came with my MVPs and even though they work some times, they have a tendency to gurgle and get get juice in my mouth, and I'm not a fan of the coil being towards the top and playing the gravity game.

Is the Kanger Pro Tank the road worth traveling?

I love a good pro tank, I use mini's currently, and have had great success with the davide mini, capacity is just a little higher than the mini pt. I ran into all the issues you did with the evods as well. They are/were great, but sometimes get a little tempermental. Then again alot of this I chalk up to me only being into it about a month now. The advise here on the forums has been priceless helping me find all the best things for me.

I'm so sorry to hear the troubles you are having with the EVODS. I have a few that are temperamental as well. I would say to give the protanks a try. I personally like them and I'm working to get them and remove my EVODs from rotation.

Here is a site with a great deal on Kanger Mini Protanks right now: Kanger Protank Mini @ VapingME.com

Debatable. The Protank II will deliver loads of vapor, decent enough flavor, and little or no flooding, unlike the first one. The heads should last you a fair while, 1-2 weeks at least, though I've heard with light juice they last up to a month or more. All in all, they're a fine way to vape as long as your juice wicks well in them (most do).

They do take a fair amount of getting used to, especially if you're trying to re-build the heads and tweak the performance. All in all they're solid hitters and I think most vapers have one or have at least considered getting one. Benefits of glass tank to boot.

It's really hard to say "oh you'd like cartos" or "really suggest you look into getting an RBA," because what works great for one person is probably not going to thrill the next guy. The best advice I can give to you is to watch reviews of the Protank II. Look at someone taking them apart. Watch them re-fill it, and change the coil head. See exactly what you'll be getting and then make your informed decision.

After all that, I do think you would have substantially less issues in terms of leaking and an overall increase in reliability. I've used Protanks since early July and despite boat loads of leaking with the Protank I (Never had it leak an entire tank though, that's crazy!), it's been a great tank device and I value each of the ones I own. Lately I've gotten more into RDAs, but that's besides the point. It's really hard to beat the portability factor of the Protanks, and reliability of a well-working one.
