Sorry for the complete newbie question but I keep seeing references to an evod but cant figure out what they are or what it stands for. Searching google didnt really help either. Any help?

It is a clearomizer but the coil (instead of the top on CE models) is on the bottom and the plastic tank is encased in a metal covering. Kanger eVod bottom coil clearomizer - Black

I think that's what it stands for, can't be sure. buy the genuine article though, the clones are pretty terrible in my experience.

I have tried the EVODs and for a clearomizer they are a bit to airy for my taste. I ended up plugging one of the airholes to get a decent draw.
I much prefer the iclear's over the EVODs..

Google EGO Kanger EVOD. Its a clearomizer that has a bottom coil instead of a top coil like the CE4s and 5s. I prefer the EVOD because the juice taste better and they allow for more vapor. Plus they are less messy to fill and change out the coil than the CE4 and 5s. I am so impressed with the EVOD that I just ordered 5 more.

These are clones. IMHO, though, they are excellent, and priced super cheap. I have found that the coils/heads that come with them leave a bit to the imagination. However, I have had really good luck with the replacement coils that can be bought in the link above. Some don't like the clone evods, or have had some issues, like leaking. But clearos all leak, genuine, clone, even the pictures leak. Nature of the beast. This is your best deal at $2.10 each. You will need replacement coils. Best clearo vape out of the box. That's a qualified statement. The Davide and Protank are the best clearos - glass, tank, replaceable drip tip, etc., but a little airy. I fixed that with an air flow controller:

The AFC allows you to customize the draw, so if too airy, tighten it up, or anywhere in between. Also, it protects your threads and makes a nice platform for a tank. Good luck, Best to get everything as they're all quite good. Best of luck and welcome~!
