A battery tube installation would work fine :) But then you would end up with a tube cap situation like the SX mini, A cap for the battery that screws off & on is a bit of a pain. magnets sound better to me :)
Kind of wishing I would have bought an ERM enclosure when moderate had them on sale :(
Probably would be easy enough to put a battery sled in it and mod the back cover with magnets.
Hind sight is all ways 20/20 :(
Played around with this a little. No magnets yet & no idea if it will even work but took this battery sled design Polarized Parametric Battery Holder by Heindal and modifed it to fit in this Reference mod Original EVOLV DNA200 Reference Case by WowaWie. No idea if it will work and give enough clearance for 510.

Here is the STL for it so far. DNA75 Reference mod by tpat591. That battery sled looks bigger than it has to be to me, but I know those in this thread will know better than I will. Can I cut those top ears off that battery sled?

Impressive, but you the wiring would be a lot easier if you put the sled in the other side of the case.

I was just playing around with a concept. With the sled out of the case, you could mount it on either side if it clears the 510.

I was more concerned with conversion to magnets as that was Steamer's wish. Mike was right in pointing out the Keystone battery sled was available as it would cost more to 3d print this sled & order the terminals by far unless you had your own printer.

If you get the sled and an ERM case with a 510 installed I'm sure you will find an easy method in minutes, I can't elaborate ATM as I'm under an NDA.

I get that. I'm just prepping some stuff. Pretty clear on the 75 now that my few questions were pretty much answered. Thanks for the hints!

Thats my Plan now :) I was lucky enough to get one from Proto with a little help on the shipping :) Thanks Again
I have an Evolv 510 and a few sleds, I'm sure when they can Mike & VB will show Us the inside of the Beta mod. I'v never been this ready for a new release from Evolv.

If you are going to use an ERM enclosure, whats the appeal of a single 18650 75w over a 950mAh 200w?
Replaceable battery :) If I'm going out for the day & would rather a stealthy mod I can bring a spare battery instead of the ERM+ :)

Good morning :)

For what it's worth, thought I'd toss these ideas out there. Had some thoughts for retaining the back half of the case, keeping it aligned better and less likely to be knocked loose. Got these ideas while looking at the two halves of the hotcig dx200 mod.

Two alignment pins in place of two of the four screw holes, then magnets in the other two holes? One pin in an upper corner and one on the other side in the lower corner.
or
Long magnets in the front half that would stick out a little and magnets recessed in the holes of the back half and let those sticking out act as alignment pins.
or
Have alignment pins but have them slotted so you can spread the pins and have them fit tight.

These guys have some long round magnets --> K&J Magnetics: Disc/Cylinder Magnets

Note the magnets at the top and the slotted battery contact pins, those battery pins fit tight!

Thats a good idea :) I have a few magnets left over from my Gdna builds that would be perfect for the longer protruding pins in the front half :)
