R41, damn that brings back memories. Coiling that stuff was interesting. Springy as all hell. It was also one of the worst wires taste wise that I ever tried. Once coiled, the stuff would last forever though.
I'm probably a couple of months early but I just got done dry burning my 2.5 mm twisted 2 strand 28 gauge Unkanmen's SS430 and rewicked with Sally's in my Coppervape Skyline. There sure isn't much space for any extra tails. Up and running, a great vape I must say.

What were the symptoms? Maybe I am suffering from them too but haven't traced it back to nickel yet.

Geez! I was complaining that I didn't care for the vape I was getting from my Steamcrave Plus. I built a 11 wrap Ni200 26/32 Clapton coil 3mmID on the 24th and threw it in there. It came out to .09 ohm. But I just noticed that it isn't even getting close to 400F. What is wrong with me? I should have noticed this in the first 3 seconds. 
So I started cranking up the wattage and I am up to 120 watts and it still isn't getting up to 400F. Wait a minute, 120 watts should be making that coil smoking hot. What's kind of amperage would that be? I just figured this out and that is just over 35A. There is no way this Clapton needs that kind of current to get up to 400F.
I guess I am going to have to figure out today why this isn't getting hot enough to get a decent vape. No wonder I am not happy with it. That is the problem with having a lot of vapes around. If you don't like the vape from one, you move on to the next and forget all about the one you didn't like and fix it.

Oh it's all good, I take and took nothing from any of it now or then, just made me giggle others did. That's the problem or reading text, you can't see the person as they are speaking and it's so easy to read it differently than what someone was actually conveying (or trying too). I have much bigger things in life to worry about then what people on a forum think.

Well? Why so many wraps? I would make a clapton with half as many wraps & use a 100 watt preheat! The wicking looks a little lite? I would think it would flood/leak like that?
You don't want it tight in there but you need a substantial amount of wick to bring the juice in freely & quickly
What about the side view? how high is it off the deck?

I forget which atty this was (it was a gift), it had a 5/6 wrap and was a bit too powerful for me.
Now I use mainly Merlins , a 4/5 wrap with a 3mm ID is my standard build. 100w preheat, hits 450f almost instantly.
