Oh man that looks good! There use to be a bar & grill near here that served twice fried fries n' gravy that were just great. That second frying is key, best fries ever!. But to top it off with cheese curds, now that's just over the top! :thumbs:

Here's a tip for separating lipo cells from packs without lifting and distorting the aluminum wrapping around the cells. Put a drop or two of label remover between the cells (I keep it away from the connector end) and let it wick between the cells. Use the type of remover that's made just from citrus oils, I like Elmer's Sticky Out. After a few minutes carefully spread the cells, once the oil has dissolved the adhesive they will separate easily without disrupting the cell wrapping, clean up with paper towels. :)

Sounds like someone is planning a Lipo repair (on a DX200 I'm guessing). I take it ecig.com didn't stand behind it?

No, different project I started last week, going to try reconfiguring a turnigy 1000 for dna 75 build. I have some more hammond G boxes, same battery and boxes I used for my 200 builds. I wish I had bought a third dx, I'd reconfig a dx battery and put a 75 in one of those. That's why I posted I'd buy one if anyone decided they didn't like it, or if they got a bad one. I can't get myself to use one of the two dx's I have now, been using them daily and really like them.

I haven't had a chance to dig into the dx battery yet, still setting on my bench.

Have you called Ecig yet?

No, won't until I get a look at the battery, I know they may sell out before I do but it's not a big deal. Besides, I'd have to pay shipping to send it back, by the time I'm done messing around I'm not gaining (or loosing) that much, it was a steal to begin with.

You would actually raise hell with ecig for a brand new DX200 kit they sold you for 55 bucks and one cell has 35mah lower capacity than the other two cells?

Not really raising hell, sale price or not they should stand behind them or state "as is" on the listing. I shot them a polite email, not going to worry if they tell me "so sorry". ;)

Guess I wasn't paying attention, thought the amount the cell was under performing was greater than that. Thought that's what yours was.

I have three DX200 900mah lipos from ecig (one came with the DX200 kit). And all three have one cell about 35mah lower capacity than the other two cells. I ordered another DX200 kit from Vapor World (boy are those guys slow in shipping [ordered on Sunday and they still didn't ship yet]), and I'll test that 900mah to see if it is just like the other ones from ecig. And I wouldn't be surprised if that one is the same too.

They probably all have the same issue. Thought Willy was saying he was getting weak battery at 40-50% which sound like a larger issue. Mine were performing much better than my old HotFire ones and had no weak battery warnings till the battery icon was pretty much empty.

Yes that what mind was doing, sudden drop off from 40-50% causing the weak battery signal.

In hind sight I should have grabbed a screenshot or noted the voltage readings from the cells. But at the time all I needed to see was one cell was lower then the other two and dropped way off when I fired the mod, I knew there was a problem. set that battery aside, slapped a full charged pack on and went about what I was doing at the time. I wasn't upset or worried about it and I didn't think there would be this much talk about it LoL.

If the cells hasn't been balanced yet (a DNA200 could take 24 hours or more for balancing), I could see getting a weak battery at 50%.

Got a reply to the email sent to ecig, they are going to replace the battery for me. I let them know up front there wouldn't be any hard feelings if there wasn't anything they could do about it. Did that make a difference? I don't know, I just wanted to be honest. :)

My email read;
"I have an issue with one of the spare dx battery packs, the one listed in the order below. I checked it out and it is a bad cell, can see it in escribe and when I fire the mod the voltage for that cell plummets below 3.05. The board sees the voltage drop and it flashes the weak battery warning. Don't know if there is anything you can do on that, if not I'm not going to loose sleep over it, it was a bargain to begin with."

Thanks to everyone with the advice on this, it's appreciated, you guys are the best! :thumbs:
