I run my new laptop all night at work just as I did with the old one. I have yet to feel the case or the air coming from the fan anything but cool. I had to put my ear down at the exhaust just to see if the fan was even running, it was but real slow.

If you sign up for daily alerts for their "Deal of the day" sometimes those will be on sale with a pretty good discount. The Deal of the day is usually 5-6 items discounted for 24 hours, maybe once a month or two I'll see something I can use and snag a good deal, most of the time it's, eh... But worth a minute's look at an email.
I love the k-cup machine for a fast cup of coffee but I don't buy the pre-filled cups, I use the thing I put my own coffee in, lot less expensive.
We thought things had calmed down, I may be dropping in now and then for some time depending on what the future holds. At least we got winter behind us, although it did snow again a couple days ago. Lawn needs to be mowed but it keeps raining, April showers.

Sorry Steamer861, hate being a pain in your caboose, what size o ring, and where? I know nothing about these guys.
Taken it apart today and 12 years of not cleaning inside, it is clean as a whistle. Only the fan blades had a slight dust film on them. That doesn't account for the overheating and beeping. Maybe the cooling pipes leaked or something. Put it all back together and I replaced the old tired battery and what a difference. Running at 129°F instead of 200°F and no more beeping. That old battery was causing all of that heat.
Got dwcraig1's eBay 1TB WD SSD today and it seems just fine. But I am going to have to figure out how to get around that Windows 10 TMP I've read about. I guess you just can't just clone a drive and put the new one in anymore.
BestBuy said they shipped my new laptop on Monday and it will be here today. Yet UPS says a label was created Monday and that is it. This doesn't look good and I have never seen UPS come out here this late anyway. Maybe I shouldn't have saved an extra 75 bucks and ordered an open box one in excellent condition (a new one would have been here yesterday). Maybe in the end they will send me a display model with goo stuck between the keys, without a power adapter, with a shot battery.
