That was my original conclusion so I put in a new board and the same thing is happening. I guess it could be two boards with the same problem, but it seems fairly unlikely until I add in my own luck and Mr. Murphy.

I'm not using the case for ground. It's a GL2 case with a plastic board sled so Separate ground, negative, wiring for the battery and 510 sides of the board.
Oh yeah, I confirmed the timeout for lock is 640 minutes.
Another little symptom, it will work fine for a little while, then after a few hits, starts the shutting off behavior. It does seem to be heat related, somehow.
