Serviced Apple products back in the days of the Macintosh //c up until the PowerPC was replaced with Intel
The good old PowerPC. A collaboration between Motorola, IBM, and Apple. I still have one barely running. For IBM they just called it the Power chip. On a Mac the startup chime would change to help identify a problem. I think that's been gone cause I haven't heard one in many years. :)
Mac Os is Unix (not Linux) based
Thanks PID you are correct sir. I mistyped, and it's UNIX (not Unix). ;) A BSD derivative from the PowerPC days. Somewhere around here I have the source code for UNIX System V, but it's as good as gone considering it's probably on a floppy :)

Some of the worse OS’s I’ve experienced are Unix, but they can also be some of the more stable a secure - all depends on the application.
    Damn straight!

I took the old Sawtooth G4 to the dump a long while back, I think I still have the Sonnet CPU upgrade card kicking around in a junk drawer though. The only thing I have left is a battle worn C2D running Snow Leopard with no optical drive and a USB wireless card duct taped to the back of the screen.

After reading the manual for my Ijoy PD270 and learning that when you put on a cold new coil you must calibrate the mod to it by pressing the up and down button to read the ohms. I'm using my TGT3 with SS430 on it and it is working quite well. This is the same tank/coil that I tried yesterday and had to turn the wattage way down to get the expected vape from it. Today it is normal.

I buy my unused older Iphones from this Ebay seller, just got this one a couple of days ago to replace one just like it that my son destroyed on the pavement (he wanted me to pay half for an 11 Pro). You can get them form his regular site slightly cheaper but I like the Ebay Protection.

New York ICS must be slower than the 7 year itch

    ICS?

Nothing state gov has fingers in moves quickly here in NY... Don't even get me started on the huge lack of law enforcement in upstate. Except for bigger city and highway roads there is NO speed enforcement, been like this for the last 5-6 years. It's the wild west in the rural areas, the back roads, tiny towns and villages that can't afford their own police dept's up here. In my village even some of the school bus drivers drive like hell. If your lucky you might see one Sheriff or Trooper drive by once in 24 hours here, they NEVER sit and shoot radar.

i guess rural virginia needs the money ;)

It's a combination of problems here, Cuomo diverts a huge amount of upstate SP officers down to NYC, I have seen pics of Trooper cars with the "C" on the lic plate in NYC, C & D is our local troops (I'm just inside C but right on the boarder of C & D) so he's also sending our cars down there.
    nysp.gif

Over the years I've talked to numerous officers when I've seen them in the village and requested they shoot radar on our road from time to time. A couple years ago I saw new young Trooper, gave him the same run down and he told me, "Until the judges come down harder on speeders it's a waste of our time to write speeding tickets", not his job to dictate punishment but that was his attitude/excuse.

The lack of Troopers with their attitude leaves the Sheriff Dept, they are under funded, under staffed with a big area to cover. About ten years ago the one Sheriff officer who lived here in our village moved away and now we have no Sheriff officer from our village. When he was here he knew everyone and everyone knew him, if he saw you or heard of you doing something wrong while off duty he'd catch up to you in the next couple days when on duty and let you know to knock it off. That was a big advantage we lost, he was a good man, it was sad to see him go.

I guess Trump like most folks only read the first couple of lines of the articles concerning the "vape related deaths".......so it must be the flavors.

Yeah, he's listening to the wrong people for sure. I hope someone get's him the fact's before it's too late and he does something like that. If he signs a ban it's going to cost him at the ballot box, how many people in the USA vape now?

    Sitting down, facing forward.
While I wouldn't be happy to see President Trump sign a flavor ban, there's far more at stake in the next Presidential election to vote one, solitary, issue. That applies whether you vote for a Democrat or Republican. And if you think the "other side" would be any less restrictive, and probably much more restrictive, about vaping, you're not paying attention.

Our Federal election cycle has just officially started. Luckily it's only around 8 weeks long.

Similar to you guys, what I find is that in this country of ~35 million, it will be a vote for the lessor of 2 evils. We vote for the same party to not dilute our votes. We're both dead center 50/50 with her slightly liberal, and me slightly conservative. We do have a Green party, and that leader (woman) sounds the best but has no chance, a union focused party, and a fringe party or two.
Surprisingly we've already had woman prime minister (appointed) so that barrier's been broken. I've actually voted for every single past prime minister, the first being the current guy's father who IMHO has been the best and he was a liberal. Brutally blunt like Trump and gave the finger to the press quite often. :)

Probably not enough to make a huge difference as a % of the vote.

I agree most of his base wouldn't let that sway them, it won't sway me, but I'm sure there are folks out there on the fence that wouldn't forget.

I'm expecting to see him change his tune on a complete ban and suggest an age limit for sales which is common sense, kids shouldn't be vaping just for the sake of it.
