I was called in on a habitat for humanity house where people were getting shocked from touching the guttering downspouts. Usually this is a nail or screw that penetrated a wire. Not in this case, I even had the utility company disconnect the secondary at the transformer after I had shut off the main breaker without resolving the problem. The metal gutter went completely around the house so was in effect a single winding coil isolated from ground. It was coupling with the 345kv lines that ran through the back yard like a transformer secondary. Got an engineer involved at that point. All guttering, soffit, and facia were replaced with vinyl, I grounded the duct work, garage door rails, and numerous other metal items that the engineer had me ground. I don't wear a tinfoil hat about such things, but I certainly wouldn't live there after personally experiencing what was going on. Interesting thought however would be to have giant ring of wire loops in the backyard hooked to a voltage regulator.

This don't surprise me at all! Back in the 90's, I worked under a huge transmission line, I had to maintain an 8 metre gap between the wires & my machine at all times!
I had an inspector watching me work all the time. I could feel the electricity in my right arm the whole time! I had a tingling feeling in that arm. At night they wanted the machine parked well a way from under the lines, the inspector said the machine could charge up like a battery & electrocute me in the morning if it was left to charge up!
There is a dead line at the very top of the towers , for lightening strikes it maintained an 80 volt charge at all times even though it's not connected to any power supply.
It's very clear to me that a force field exists around high power transmission lines!

I wonder what long term affects it would have on people living close to that kind of line? The real scary thing is you mite not even know this power was there constantly
I have looked at transmission lines differently since that job! Just cause you cant see it, danger still mite be there!

Sitting down, facing forward.
When they de-energize an HV line for maintenance, before the towers are climbed they get grounded. Then the line, itself, gets grounded with an "insurance ground" (they are all grounded to begin with) at the tower where they are working. The static charge caused by wind in the wires and on the tower can be enough to kill. It's serious business working around them even when de-energized, let alone when transmitting power.

I've seen videos of inspections and repairs being done on energized lines and that is really serious business, no room for the slightest mistake anywhere. They bring in the technician by helicopter, ground the helicopter to the line to raise the whole helicopter to the charge level of the line, then the technician gets out onto the line in a little gondola. I can't imagine being the pilot and the tension, nerve tension, he must feel while hovering to get the guy onto or off of, the line. Talk about nerves of steel!

Happy Thanks giving To all the Americans :)

So I'v had this in my cart more than once! I have takin a liking to the "Nic Salts" for stealth vaping when it's in appropriate to blow clouds :) I'm using the Juul for it now, but would like some thing a little more robust! So my question is any one with one of these? what's the hit like? could I use a High nic juice in it? or is it more like a DL hit?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! A day of counting our blessings and giving thanks. I hope you all can enjoy the day with loved ones.

Every year I remember the first Thanksgiving I took my wife to, on the drive to Mom and Dad's I told my wife the most important Thanksgiving rule at the Wilson's, we never discuss sex, religion or politics at the table. Boy was I nervous....

I have the original DNA Go Orion and upgraded the firmware and for me a vast improvement with the new pods and replaceable coils (0.25Ω), more of a throat hit and a much improved vape using 3mg; have not tried high nic salts.

This is what I figured, its more of a DL hitter than a high nic pod!
Most of the reviews say as much. Hows the battery life with the .25 coil? Can you get more than one pod full (2mils) on a single charge?

Thanks for the input :thumb:

Whew... Willy's tummy is full! My wife, daughter and the two grand ladies are going shopping. Think I'll make a mug of hot cocoa, grab the throw, kick my feet up, left the cat and pup curl up in my lap and watch some old holiday movies. Highly likely I'll nod off dreaming about the rest of those pie's that are waiting for me. It was a nice day, hope you all had a good one! :)

I got my Voopoo Vinci-X winnings superfast via DHL. No extra charges at the door.

The good - 5.5 ml pod/tank. Replaceable coils. 18650 removable battery. Really clear screen. Good flavor from .6 coil
The could be better  - Max wattage is determined by coil resistance. More airy than my Ammit 25. No airflow control. Mod body without pod is the same height as a paranormal or vt133. RBA announced but not out yet. Must thumb fire, or auto draw (configurable)

Heads up on a good price for some good AA & AAA Rayovac battery's at .19 each, 36 pack for $7. Four years ago I bought a couple packs of each during these holiday sales at Lowes at the same price. They worked well and when I saw the same sale the next year I doubled the amount which turned out to be a good thing because last year I couldn't find these Rayovac's this cheap anywhere. This summer I was running low and tried some of the BestBuy brand, they are junk in comparison. WalMart has the same battery in a 60 pack for $11, that comes out to .18 each but it's a ship to store deal and who know how old they are. I pretty sure these 36 packs have been shipped to Lowes stores for this sale and in my mind more likely they won't be older stock. I used the AAA's mainly in my LED flashlights, I have one I keep on my desk, use it multiple times every day the battery's will last at least two week where as the BestBuy brand last a week and when they start to die they just drop right off the edge to very dim.

I'll head up to Lowes early in the morning (6 AM) to grab 6 of the AAA and a couple of the AA, they sell out fast and I want to beat as much of the Black Friday crowd as I can.

But... but... but Best Buy AA/AAA batteries come with a free cool reusable battery box. :D Say, ever seen a Best Buy battery leak? Me either. Never seen a Rayovac leak either now that I think of it. Although those Rayovac rechargeable alkaline batteries would leak one out of four times. Good thing they weren't on the market long. I still have 2 left that survived not leaking.

Say I'll use alkaline batteries for devices that the batteries last for years in. Devices that goes through batteries a lot, I use NiMH (eneloop) instead. I hear tell Amazon NiMH are rewrapped eneloops. I don't know if that is true though.

I figured out what goes wrong with Thanksgiving, it's a carbohydrate extravaganza! OK, turkey is mostly protein but everything else? Mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes with chopped pecan topping, cornbread casserole, string bean casserole with French fried onions, stuffing, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce. After all that comes the desserts, apply pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, tarts, home made biscotti, ice cream, whipped cream. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! Pass the Gaviscon!

ok, so abp has been pretty useless as a blocker for some time now. trying to find out where the problem is, i went googling this am and, apparently, they were sold a while ago and lots of people are no longer happy. is anybody here still using it having found a way to make it work? if not, what blocker are you running that works?
