I only have the one authentic, never bothered getting any of the SXKs. I was going to sell it as it doesn't get much use but now I suppose I'll have to swap out the board... :glare:

Are dna 60 boards still available?

Did I miss some thing? I thought you said it had killed the battery?

I'v had more than one DNA die from juice spilles :( Is that what happened?

I all ways worry about juice getting in the chip on my BB's, darn boro leaks/sweats terribly :(

My BB's (1 authentic 2 SXK Pre USB) have never drained my batteries nor have any other analog DNA's I have. My battery drain issues are all with the 250C chips

Evolv still sells the DNA 60 :) EVOLV - Home

I don't think you missed anything, this is the second time the BB has drained the battery just sitting.

The boro bay is always damp, it's a Billet Box, comes with the territory. ;) I'll have to take the button plates off and have a good look. As far as I know it's never been wet inside and the 510 nub on the authentic seems to be actually sealed properly unlike the SXKs.

Doesn't get much use so I thought I could get a dollar or two for it, unlike common mods that you are lucky to get $20. I couldn't sell the BB with a clear conscience knowing that it drains cells.

Ok :) So it still works, just the battery drains.
IMO this is a DNA problem, all most all my 250c's do it :( I guess this isn't that big of an issue if you use the mod daily, or if the battery comes out. I have 3 lipo 250c mods & I check them frequently to make sure the battery is not getting too low.
Wonder why Evolv hasn't looked into this issue? Maybe if they could find the issue? It could be corrected with a firmware update?

    A what update? :mad::mad::mad:
I was mentioning to dwcraig1 sometime last week that it had been 421 days since their last update

Ya wonder why so quiet over at Evolv? A funny thing with the 2 Odin's one required update & second one did not, programming date was basically the same on both chips.

I don't spend much time over on their forum, So has the topic come up over there? Did any of them respond to the battery drain issue?

Not in public, so I don't know. I have brought it up at least twice. The first time very shortly after I was sent my ERM, and when I filled in my RMA when I was heading to the US. Just crickets on it, to me, both times.
    Same old, same old ..............

I don't think any firmware could correct the problem. As it appears to be a total hardware issue to me. It seems to only happen when you make and break battery connection too fast. Like swapping out batteries. And it isn't guaranteed to blow the chip. But it seems like 1% of the time it can. What I have been doing is by waiting 30 seconds or more before I insert fresh cells. And this seems to be avoiding the problem.

I had one of the four SXK BB that would sometimes unload during the night. I blame the tank, but I don't know for sure. It could be jinxed for all I know. And it must have happened a dozen times or more and that BB has been really soaked from juice. And I don't think you have to worry about juice getting to the DNA60. As it seems to get everywhere else instead.

As for the unsealed connection pin on the SXK. I thought this might be a problem, but after all this experience with that one, I don't think you have to worry too much. Although it could happen, but doesn't seem too likely.

I bet there are lots of people who would buy it as is. Some would be happy to get a little discount and all they have to do is to replace the board. And some others wouldn't care since they would be using it 24/7 anyway. ;)

    Not sure about Steamer861's but mine's a 4S Lipo ;)
Wow that is interesting! Static electricity?

I think I have 4 mods that drains batteries. After 3, I realized that I swapped the batteries really fast in all three. The last one, I popped in a 26650 into a Lost Vape Skar and it popped back out and I foolishly popped it right back in. You guessed it, now it drains batteries. :(

Mine all do it, both lipo & round cell, I haven't had the Odin's long enough to tell?
I will be surprised if they Don't!

I blame the tank, but I don't know for sure.
All my Boro's sweat a little, I won't call it leaking cause it's not that bad but there is all ways a bit of juice behind the tank when ever I pull it out. A tanks too, don't matter which bridge or coil I use. They make those 3D printed condensation plugs, I cant see how that would help :(

All? I stopped counting my DNA mods after 50. And only 4 of them drains batteries.

What you are talking about is what I call condensation. That is one problem, but can be controlled. Like I used to use plugs and such too. Sometimes it made things worse, like juice getting to the positive side of the battery. But what worked well for me with condensation is JMK Tips. Very little condensation now and it is so small it isn't even worth wiping down anymore.

When I am talking about leaks, I am talking about is having 5ml of juice in the Boro tank and going to sleep and getting up and now the tank has 0.5ml in there and juice everywhere. Put a different Boro in it and a few days later it will happen again. It is only this one BB this happens to. This is also the BB the connection pin was hanging out when I got it. :(

Yes All my 250c's drain the batteries, to some extent. Some worse than others my 4S 250c mods can easily lose 8% in 24 hours
It's only the 250c's for me, the 75c's are fine & all my other DNA's are fine too :)

I was surprised to see Troll say it was happening to a DNA60! I have 10 of those & no drain from any of them!

I'd have to check if my 2 POS Paranormals have that parasitic drain. Definitely this ERM does. A very tiny amount in a 24 hour period. I've written it all over the place. My 200 and 250 Lipo's do not, neither do any of the other round cell mods. (that I can remember)

What is wrong with your Paranormals? I only have three of them, the DNA250C kind. And I think they are fine. But for the money, I'd rather have Triades for a few dollars more. The fire button could stick out a bit further for my tastes too. I'm actually vaping with a Paranormal right now. ;)
