Sitting down, facing forward.
So, we made our run to Costco this morning during old timers hour. There was a line, already, when we got there at about 7:30, they ostensibly open at 8. Everyone was wearing a mask and social distancing. The line started moving at about 7:45 and pretty quickly, then stalled. They let people into the "lobby" where the carts normally are but now there's a "cattle chute" arrangement. It started moving again after only a few minutes and we got inside.

Why do people walk so fast in a line like that then turn into zombie slow walkers when they get inside? There was a traffic jam right after the entrance as people just stopped and galked looking around like they were lost and blocking the main entry aisle in the process. We took an immediate left and avoided all those who didn't have a clue.

They had TP, paper towels and tissues. Not as much as usual, but they had some. We grabbed TP and tissues, gotta keep both ends clean. They didn't have any pork chops, again, but had pork roasts, boneless. No Smart Balance, turkey bacon, biscotti and some other odds and ends, but overall it looked fairly normal for Costco.

Checkout was a breeze. They handled the cart from start to finish. The checkout counter has plexiglass on the whole customer side and they wiped everything down between each customer. Our time in the store was under a half hour and normally it would have been an hour. Sometimes there's advantages to being an old fart. When we we loading our stuff into the truck, it started snowing! What's up with that?

After we got home, put everything away and had breakfast, as I was enjoying my second cup of coffee FedX pulled up the driveway blowing their horn. I got an envelope from LabCorp. I went to the local LabCorp for blood work earlier this month. The letter stated that one of the employees had tested positive for the CCP Virus, AKA COVID-19, and that I should watch my health, cough, shortness of breath, temperature, yada, yad for fourteen days. Really nice of them to FedX a letter like that to let me, and probably a lot of other people know they've potentially been exposed. Problem is I was there on the 8th, 14 days would be the 22nd, and today is the 23rd. Way to go LabCorp!

Did you notice any price increases ? Seems to Me prices have crept up at least 10% or so :( My check out spend is definitely Up!

FedEx'ed you a letter? I guess a phone call or email would have been too much trouble, not even to mention a lot safer :(

In DT Toronto, prices seem to be stable. Haven’t noticed any price increases.

Well thats good news for you's :) I'v only been going to Cosco & the Grocery store for several weeks now, Not every thing is up but a lot of stuff is! I guess a lot more inconvenience comes with this situation, maybe thats why? One thing for sure the prices never seem to go back down afterwards :(

Where I am located, I have all essentials within a 5 min walk. But they are mostly privately owned ma/pa shops. Butchers, fruit and veg stands, bakeries etc. I’ll go to large chain grocer’s for canned or frozen foods and TP. But TP is still scarce, so been buying from a small convenience store (who has a stash way in the back out of sight), and is priced as normal. As long as the LCBO doesn’t raise their prices I am good...gonna drink my way through this pandemic one shot of whisky at a time!

Well, we went there. $20 @ Superstore for a Wahl, color pro haircut kit, and a fantastic willing wife. Super stoked. Gotta say, not a wrinkle on my face Before on the left, after on the right.
The good: Not once did I hear "keep your hands down"
The bad: Because the chair didn't have arms, there was no sorta snuggling into my elbow.

I started cutting my own hair in '62 (haircuts went to $0.75), each time I finish, I look in the mirror and, man, I look good.
