need input again because it's really irritating me now :?:

why would my firefox screen disappear completely and i'm looking at the desktop screen until i move the mouse? i can find no rhyme or reason behind it. but it's getting rather annoying. it's a wireless logitech mouse

Where is the mouse pointer? On the Taskbar? Is the mouse on one of those Taskbar Previews? Also I don't know if you moved your Taskbar or not, but there is an option that on the end of the bar to hide all applications when you move the pointer there. Mine is off, but I don't recall if that is the default or not. Also maybe you got the update last night while you were sleeping and need to reboot.

that's what's so strange - the pointer can be in different positions when it happens. i've tried to replicate but no sucess. most annoying when i type something and all of a sudden i'm looking at my desktop .... sigh

i move the mouse ;) and voila! ff is up again

Are you running the Logitech SetPoint software? If so, you can right click on the icon down in the notification area and select exit or is it close and see if it stops this nonsense. Don't worry you can turn it back on later.

not running setpoint only the unifying software

Gosh Tibs, you're not making this easy. Well if you got another mouse (it doesn't matter right now if it is wireless or not) and try that for awhile. It doesn't have to be another mouse of course, a touchpad, trackball, or something. Just anything besides that mouse.

Yes I too love my Anywhere MX mice too. Don't use them much since they like to screw up a lot. I leave the batteries out for a few days and they start working fine again. You may not need to leave the batteries out that long, maybe just when you sleep might be long enough. And then don't repeat until it starts screwing up again.
