Unbelievable! Last night all of the limited stabwood Centaurus versions sold out on lost vape's website. And now lost vape lists them as discontinued. Man that was fast! Other sites still lists some of them, but for how long before they are all gone. Is it all hype or is it a legendary reborn? :pop:
time will tell ;)

It's Hype Bill! & Guess who's falling for it hook line & sinker

Just wait until I get to hold one in my hand. :D And I do have three Dovpo DNA250C, but they generally just sit up on the shelf. Let's see what happens with the Centaurus DNAs. :)

Did this back when Bill first posted it, didnt work for me. This afternoon the computer was hung trying to update to v1909, and sure enough, the service was running again even though I manually stopped it.

There are worker processes whose only job is to keep the M$ stuff running that they want run.

Not that it's of any great importance now as my relay and socket will arrive shortly but last 1st module that I ordered from China cleared Customs and departed last Saturday morning. Because they used some off the wall shipping service (FLYT) and USPS tracking is not recognizing the tracking number so my Tracking OCD is flairing up. It will probably just show up one of these days.

It hasn't stayed disabled for me either. It works for a few days and then gets enabled somehow again. :(

My relay and socket will arrive in today's mail. I started the installation already, I attached this to the power for the module that will be coming out with one of these:
add a circuit.jpeg

Ordinarily you would install the original fuse in the lower socket, mine was an empty spot so I put one in the lower slot for a spare.
The module has an old school inline glass fuse already but I didn't want to use it with the relay.

Edit: The place on the power box that I tapped for power had only the one contact, the "out" side for the fuse doesn't have a connection for the fuse.

As I suspected, the Windows Update Medic service protects the Windows Update components.

So I am trying this now, read the whole thread, I am doing the piece in the last post. Time will tell...

Finally! The first one has arrived! Paranormal 206g and the Centaurus 176g, both without batteries. And you can feel it is so much lighter than the Paranormal. I much prefer the Centaurus over the Paranormal. And yes, you can tell this one was originally spelled wrong and they redid it.

I found it interesting that both of these services that we have stopped, by one means or another, have no other services dependent upon them, though they both depend on other services. It would seem logical that Update Properties Service would be dependent upon its 'protector' Update Medic Service. A lot of medication would be necessary to plunge into the minds of Microsoft's software engineers seeking logic.

Anybody have live ohm experience with NiCr? I just avoided that wire for some reason. But I was playing around with mostly Geekvape stock coils and one of them is an IM4 quad coil that uses NiCr coils. And cold it reads 0.157Ω. And at the temperature I like which feels like 425ish°F to me it reads 0.161Ω. And the highest I went was 0.171Ω which felt like about 510°F (way too hot for my liking).

If I didn't know the wire material, I would have said it reacted much like SS316L does. In fact, it reacts a tad more to temperature than SS316L does. So those with experience with NiCr, is this how much the resistance changes? If not, my guess is then this coil uses nickel legs and that is what I am seeing.
