It's just not me saying it, just Google it and look on Youtube for examples in action. And peek into the Mac Rumors forum. ;)

A lot of people say the earth is Flat Bill!
11 years ago my son 10 at the time asked for a $3000 Mac! He used them at school & told me they were better than what we were using!
I said, Show Me! I bought him the 27" iMac & watched it, 3 years later I bought my own Mac! Today 11 years & 5 mac's later I'm convinced, it was & is better than the windows machines we were using!

So whats the end game with the Window Medic & the registry Edits? Do you guys just want to stop the updates? Wont that leave you open to exploits & being hacked?
I was under the impression they constantly updated to close hole, that could be exploited?

I am not wanting to stop updates forever. I want to slow them down and when [or if] MS patches their fixes and enhancements, I'll undo what has been done. I will then take the updates, fixes, enhancements and install them.

My goal is to stop them from doing it automatically, which often crashes my Home Automation system. Yes, you do (or at least I do) want to keep more/less up to date. However I want to control when it happens, so that it wont happen at an inconvenient time and so that I can have disaster recovery precautions in place.

What happens now is I wake up and my house isnt working (more importantly the espresso machine isnt on and hot), go check the server and find that an Update at 2am crashed it. For example, it has tried to install v1909 about 8 times so far, and each time it crashes and has to roll back, which requires manual intervention on my part.

I dont like it when my house stops working because MS took over MY own damn computer.

Thanks for the straight answer Mike! I kinda of figured being up to date was better :) Thanks again

I think being a late adopter is safer when dealing with MS. I used to own a personal computer; now, I just rent one from MS and I pledge lifetime loyalty the company and the company store.

Macs are nice looking but mostly useless for what I need. I get more done with my T530 than what my mac counterparts do (mostly work software related). I paid $100.00 with a 500GB ssd 8GB of ram, it updated to 1909 no problems. It replaced my T420 because my old eyes want/need the bigger screen. My travel PC is a x220 email and such . Oh ya I like Lenovo's older ones are battle horses.

Actually all my pcs ( mostly vms updated without a hitch)

I do I have an Iphone but thats what my work gives me. I prefer my wifes Samsung 8 though just a nicer feeling phone.

Most of the times the F150 is more useful than the Bugatti

That is because Job's knew Apple's future was brainwashing young people's minds. Feed them propaganda and lie to them. Since they are too dumb to resist. :(

There are oodles of machines that can run Windows. Just because Macs were better than the Windows machines you had, doesn't mean Macs are better than all Windows machines. Remember you lost every challenge of Mac longevity you held up to me alone. If you want to continue, I am not worried one bit. ;)

And remember, Apple screws it's customers everyday which is pretty callus, don't you think? :(

Oh and you compared the results to the ones who don't? Or did you forget that in your study?

All of my non-Windows 10 machines I can turn them on each day (which none has received updates in years) and I am confident that they will turn on and perform wonderfully every time. The same can't be said of Windows 10 machines, unless you cutoff their access to the Internet. Of which by the way, three of my four Windows 10 machines hasn't been allowed on the Internet in months. ;)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I don't know, I've been using Windows machines since Win 3.1. I have upgraded hardware over time and the OS as well, but they all run fine and run the software I want, in native mode, with no problems. If you like Apple, fine, if you like Windoohs, fine. Kind of like TC verus a mech or a tank versus squonk versus drip to me.

It's not like that at all!
For me it's was blue screens, failed up dates incomparable software & hard ware One issue After another!
Then Mac's, work smooth & fine, day in & out, seamless updates! Performance that is takin for granted after a while!

You can choose what ever you like or what works for you, these are my experience's No B.S.!

Maybe you can help me. I want my iPhone back to the way I received it. With iOS10 on it. Now how do I do this Steamer861? As Apple changing my phone into something else is called bait and switch.

Gosh, I haven't seen a blue screen for about 20 years now and are generally easy to fix. Incompatibilities? Like what? Can't run iTunes on a Windows 3.1 machine or what?

OMG Bill! You don't have to take any updates on Apple products! Just Say No!
Apple won't come in & change your settings & update your device with out your consent!

They do it in the middle of the night Steamer861. You have to hit no everyday and they know after 100 no's your finger misses just once and hits ok instead. And Apple won't allow you to go back. There is noway I can get iOS10 back on my iPhone. And if you call Apple, that is what they will tell you. That is just pure evil Steamer861.
