I ended up with 4 white, 1 red and 1 black. (cheapest board and battery ever!) So far only 1 problem and it was with the black one. Swapped out the battery and it wouldn't turn on. Re-seated the battery a couple times and now no problem.
If you are having problems I would take a few minutes and swap everything out with everything else and vise-a-versa. Sounds like a connection problem.

Yes they are a bargain at the prices we got them for! I can see where hotcig made changes as they went, addressing problems. I almost wonder if they were made by different factory's for hotcig and that accounts for some variations? I suspect the returns got to be too many, that's whey they changed the design to the DR 200 and how we ended up with a great deal. Even if you have to tinker with them to make them reliable and perform up to snuff, still well worth it. But I can see how for those that don't tinker, those issues don't make for a good deal at any price. If you spent money on something you can't use....... :(

Has anybody found any Chinese manufacture ever honor their warranty? I can't think of a single case. One online US shop posted they sent a bunch of defective mods back and they never got credit or anything. I forgot which shop it was and what manufacture and I can kick myself for not saving it. But they said they still sell them, but they just eat the returns.

I never asked for a warranty until recently when ecig stood behind the battery, that was my first time. I've always fixed any problems myself so I really can't say. I would think if they state there is one they would have to honor it or risk the government stepping in?? Don't know....

Sitting down, facing forward.
I had an original Cool Fire from Innokin, the "hand grenade" model, that died after a month, got sent back to Innokin in China to my knowledge and was returned working again. Unfortunately, it failed again after about two months and I lost interest and moved on. Now it's a curiosity item.

I think they are perfect even if you don't tinker Willy. Although they are a great tinker mod for sure. So far they are the only DNA200 lipo mod that I like. As the rest of the other DNA200 lipo mods, the lipos are too hard to swap. These are actually easier to swap out than a 18650 mod.

They are unless you get one with a problem, then it's either ask for warranty or fix it yourself. I do agree they are a nice mod, because I can swap out battery's I use them more then I do my ERM's or the mods I built from raw hammond boxes. :)

I'm cross posting this to make sure BRD sees it, this is on TGTII
I just now replaced the spring on the 510 screw with a short piece of the sleeve from the deck's negative post. I had bought a Taifun service kit quite some time ago and used the screws and sleeves on my friend's TGT clone but kept all the old pieces of the clone. Resistance dropped way down to what it should be.

Interesting....I have a big bag of them put away for the end of times. I will play with one.

Man two juice accidents today. One squeezing a needle syringe and the needle flew off and 5ml of juice all over the place (thank goodness it finally dried and no stain in the carpeting). And then I was unscrewing the top of a Boreas (flow control shut) to fill and suddenly air bubbles were coming from the bottom. The top wasn't unscrewing, the whole tank was unscrewing.

Try unscrewing an Aromamizer, right side up. mistake that only gets made once (I hope).

Guilty, first time refilling I was watching the TV while unscrewing, suddenly my hand felt wet...... So use to taking the top off my Zephyrus.

First, thanks to willy and everybody for the replies and suggestions. I truly appreciate all the advice. (didn't want to re-quote all the posts, you know who you are) this whole group of people in this thread are just amazingly helpful folks! Thanks and sorry in advance for this novel of a post.

So upon closer examination of the jst connector, the black one (which is the troubled unit) Does seem like it's jst connector is not perfectly centered in the housing. Fwiw the black one is #4039 which I never noticed those serials either.

The white one is perfectly centered. The black one is not.

I'll need to open the black one I'm sure, I'm assuming the label comes off to expose screws on the mod Portion? (willy correct me if I'm wrong on this, I think your the only one who took theirs apart so far?)

As for the connections, the "problem" it's having, whatever it may be is not constant or absolute. Sometimes after jacking with it (swapping batteries from one mod to another and back) it does start to work, then it works sometimes for a few mi uses or for as long as a whole day but eventually it does get "corrupted" again.

Now, the black battery which I originally thought was the problem, will read extremely low voltages on the black mod during its tantrum phase, but does read correct voltages on the white mod. Now it didn't read voltages properly initially, but that battery has since been properly charged and balanced since my first day with this issue, so I can only assume that somewhere down the line I've charged the black battery on the white mod or while all the connections were good on the black one.. Bottom line I feel pretty confident at this point that the black battery is ok. I say this Because I have used the white mod several days in a row without incident and during one of the black mod attitude days even the white battery showed problems and poor voltages across the cells (and I know that battery is fine). If I Put the same battery back on the white mod and it was full and all balanced properly. Same for the black battery on the white mod, fully charged and balanced... So that can only leave the black mod section with the issue.

I'll email ecig to verify that if they needed to replace the device, could they or would they offer a refund. I have a feeling they won't have another to send. So I'm pretty sure it's up to me to fix it. I'm sure jst connectors are super common in hobby shops so it shouldn't be a big deal just a matter of doing it. I'm not worried about doing it, I'm comfortable voiding warranties. ;) just hate fixing an issue on a brand new device regardless of price paid.

I took a picture side by side of the jst ports, if you pay attention to the right side of the black mods jst, it's basically smooth all the way down. The white mods jst connector is centered perfectly so (as an example) if you slid a baby red screw driver down the right side you'd catch the lip of the white jst plastic as you slid it down the edge. The black one doesn't do that, you can slide all the way down without ever catching the actual white jst connector plastic piece, but the left side has a huge jst connector lip. That being off center has to explain the fact the batteries don't glide in as easily on the black dx200 as they do on the other dx200's I have. I guess maybe those pins being a tad bit off to the right make them not connect properly all the time?

Yes there is one screw down by the connectors under the label. The other end just slides into a slot.

On the battery pack there is one Philip head screw above the jst connector. On the mod there are three
t-5.5 torx headed screws, tiny torx bit! Yes the label peels off, may rip if they were pressed on hard but only one sticker started to rip, warm it in the sun first. I have a few spare female (board side) jst connectors left over from 200 builds, if you need one I'd be happy to drop it in the mail.

ETA: I also have spare male jst connectors I snipped off battery packs.
