That is assuming the swelled battery didn't damage anything Steamer861. You still need a heat gun to loosen the screen glue to pop off the screen to get to the battery. On eBay, the batteries are just 4 bucks with free shipping. My Samsung phones I just snap off the back and slide the old battery out and insert a new one. It takes like 10 seconds. That is a much nicer system.
What was the age of the iphone?

I bought it on Oct 10, 2017. The spare was purchased on Apr 13, 2019 and reports 100% battery capacity left. Looks like the backlighting broke away from the screen on the original iPhone when the battery swelled. :(

The original I could sign on the Evolv's Forum. The spare, I can't. I am now down to only one device that can post on the forum.

I have Androids and Windows 8 phones that are much older that are still working just fine running on the original batteries. Let's see, I have 3 Windows 8 phones (2 Samsung and 1 Nokia) and 4 Android phones (1 Chinese noname, 2 Samsung, 1 Motorola).

I was able to almost finish my taxes before work last night, it will be the first time in 4 years that I'll get a refund.
The previous 3 years I had to pay and not just a few bucks either.
It's not that I'm paying them less, I just put more in the pot.

Just goes to Show, people believe what they are told/read, Even if it isn't True!!
If they were truly concerned with their health over Vaping? Would they go back to Smoking?
Why not just Quit? My Doctor all ways told me, it's only 3 weeks of discomfort & then things go back to Normal, So why not just Quit?

Did your doctor quit cigarettes him/her/it self and so has real knowledge? Read a book? Get it off the internet? Pick the information up in a discussion group? It's generally a lot easier for the giver of the advice than it is for the recipient.

If one isn't doing the job then all jobs look pretty easy, to some that is.

If pushed by the feds and nanny staters and if my Nicotine stash ran dry then I would give 0% Nicotine a try. The hand to mouth was a big part of my smoking, now vaping.

And here I have spent a lot of time devising ways to very s..l..o..w..l..y charge my batteries either computer, vape, flash light, trolling motor or any number of stuff that runs on re-chargeable batteries.
Wrong again, CMD. Just when you think you have answer, you realize that you don't even know what the question is.

About 15 years ago I went for my yearly checkup at the doctors and I was met with a nurse who asked about your life's medical history. When she got to the question of do I smoke and I answered yes. She read me the Riot Act (one reason I hate going to the doctor). Later that same day there was a spot outside where smokers could hang out and lite up. And that same mean and evil witch nurse who gave me the Riot Act for smoking was herself out there having a smoke.

I found it plateaus in 3s for me. It lessens after each plateau.

I recently was listening to a radio program that talked about addiction. And he described how you can tell if you're addicted to something or not. And it totally made sense to me. That is, the first thing you want after getting out of bed was an addiction, such as having coffee or a cigarette right away.

It still happens with me with coffee. And it did when I was smoking. And it did when I first started vaping. But something happened after awhile with just vaping and not smoking. After I made it passed all of that addictive stuff they put in cigarettes, I also didn't need to vape right away either. Nowadays I may only have my first vape an hour or two after I wake up. I wonder how many others this also happened to?

I only ever tried to quit 3 times BillW50 before vaping. Each time, years apart I quit for 6 months cold turkey. Not even a single drag before restarting each time. Vaping works for me 5+ years in. I will never smoke again. In thinking back, opening a fresh pack always smelled great, but I only remember a burn in my throat and no flavor. And American smokes always had a nasty (turkish?) odor compared to the Canadian smokes. I'd go cold turkey before ever having one (after trying one)

Ya, American smokes were/are Brutal! I remember being on Vacation & having no other choice, they tasted like cigars & the smell was awful :(
What really bothers me now is the BT's attitude! We were their prisoners & they fight like hell to keep killing Us! That more than any thing, Plus the health risks motivate me to stay off cigarettes!
