One of my Riva's made it through devastated Texas and Oklahoma areas (I pray everyone we know are ok). And the Riva reminded me so much of the hcigar VT75D. Although the Riva is a dual 18650 with a DNA250C while the VT75D is a dual/single 18650 DNA75C. As I expected, the Riva is bigger around, but shorter in height. The leather is called Raw Sand and I worried that it might be too light in color. My camera picks it up like other photos, but it is actually darker than it looks here and everywhere else. It is almost swede like.

After 18 months of use, you can really see the swelling :( Lipo's just don't have the life span round cells do :( In their defence they are cheep $30 Lipo's

The secret from keeping lipos from swelling, is to not keep them at or near full charge for more than 10 days or so (not true for NiMh, lead-acid, NiCad, etc). Best stored like 40-60% charged. Yes easier said than done. Round cells would swell too if you could take them out of the can. If you did, the capacity would increase. But in the tin can they are unable to swell physically (unless they go into thermal runaway) and thus you have to live with less capacity. Still, I too prefer round cells over lipos. Loose round cells are just so convenient.

I guess it was last Friday, the wife comes home with her iPhone 5S doing a boot loop. Tried many times to restore it, I'm pretty sure the battery is no good. I ordered a battery and tool kit from eBay for just under $10. The reason she had the 5S is because she lost her 6S at the casino. So on Friday I bought her a new iPhone XR. I have another iPhone 5S with double the memory of the one I just replaced. I shall put the new battery in the one with the higher memory and replace the screen with the one from the bad battery. It probably won't be that long till she loses/breaks the new one. A new wife might be a better option but I believe I have learned my lesson.
