For all you security camera/computer geeks:
A few days ago I removed the 22" monitor (non HDMI) from our security system at work and replaced it with a 26" Visio 1080P TV and hooked it up via HDMI. It worked great but this TV has no base and I didn't have a wall mount for it. So I take my 26.5" Acer monitor from home that I'm not using and hook it up. I did this right before I left work. I go in last night and notice I have about 10 cameras not displaying. It didn't show a black screen or video loss it just went to the next working camera.
If I view the system remotely all cameras appear. If on the DVR I check playback on the missing cameras they are all there. Going through the DVR's menu every camera is active.
So after much messing around I put the 22" monitor back on and all is well.
Then since this 26.5 monitor has a VGA connection as well I decided to try that and and all cameras appear.
I think I'm going to buy a wall mount for the Visio tv and return my monitor back home.
I am stumped as to what went wrong here, any ideas?

My SXK BB developed some extra resistance tonight, it went from 0.40 to 0.52 ohms. I'm not sure just how old it is but way more than a year. One of the 28 guage ss430 strands gave out near the center of the coil. Time to twist up some more. I'm still on my first 200 ft spool, probably 50 ft or so left. I have a 2nd onefor when this one is used up. That just might be a while.
Why didn't anybody let me know about Vaperz Cloud Hammer Of God DNA400? I thought all HOGs were mech mods and thus I ignored them. The HOG DNA400 was released almost a year ago and today they are impossible to find. Shame on you for not mentioning it if you knew about it.

@dwcraig1 What is the video source for that monitor? NVR or a PC running Blue Iris? Sounds like an incompatibility between the source and the monitor to me. If it's a PC you may be able to tinker with the video settings there and maybe even on an NVR depending on how "high end" the NVR may be.
It's a DVR. It works just fine with the larger monitor hooked up VGA. I'll just leave it that way or maybe get the wall mount for the 26" tv.
