morning, willy! ended up with a little over 8'' followed by bone-chilling cold (-4 on my porch on monday morning) till tuesday. to put the finishing touches on that craziness we had a high of 70 degrees yesterday!
It wasnt too bad though, we have seen a lot worse here. It helped that it happened on a Friday night after the standard business week was over. By the Monday morning commute all the primary roads, and most of the secondary roads were clear. My only scary part was in my residential neighborhood, and I live on a steep hill.

We live on top of a small hill here in the village, on snowy days I get plenty of entertainment sitting at the kitchen table watching cars slowly creeping up the hill with their tires just a spinning while trying to keep the car straight. Some people are just to cheap to buy snow tires.

We live on top of of hill too. 875ft. Elevation change to go anywhere. We really can't go anywhere until the roads clear up a good bit.
My wife feels stranded and helpless when we're snowed or iced in but I kinda like the feeling of self dependence for a few days. As long as we have water, food, a generator and wood for the firebox I'm content.
