And he makes it sound like everyone is cutting up laptop battery's to the cells, who the hell does that when 18650's are so cheap and widely available?

Guilty. Not for vaping but when I worked for Dell the returns dept. would give me laptop battery packs with failed controllers in them. I'd take them apart and solder up some killer lightweight battery packs for my lighting system used for mountain biking at night.

I open up a Ryobi li-on drill pack and it had those 30 amp 1500mah LG's inside. Just saying.
A couple of them were still looking usable but the pack had a lot of use on it so I put them back in hazardous waste where I found them.

Not at all :) So far the Pharaoh rta has been problem/leak free. As of now it's my #1 atty :)
My only problem now is the Ti Clapton is out performing all my other Ti coils.
Not just marginally, way better! it ramps up instantly!
When I ordered the 32 gauge, I wasn't sure it was going to work well, so I only got a little.
Now I'm waiting on more for my outer wrapping wire.
I plan on trying the same kind of Single Ti Clapton coil in my postless deck Supreme's 25mm & Plus's
If it works like it does in the Pharaoh, It will be a giant step up :)
BTW if you get the Pharaoh I wouldn't bother with any other decks.
I got the #2 deck(dual coil) & will probably never use it again!
The single coil deck it comes with, with a big Clapton is as good as it gets for me :)
I have a second one coming in Black 27.24 from CVapor 28.41 in Black @ FT 30.99 in Black @ vapenw

Ordered a black Pharaoh RTA from VapeNW yesterday...I'm gonna see how this latest eScribe handles SS before I commit to making my own Ti Claptons. :thumb:

I tried SS Claptons, SS in TC just don't do it for me :(
Ti has a jenesequa, It's just better!
BTW the Supreme + 10 mil version is on sale at GB for 30$ :)
I know GB sucks! But 30$ is a great deal for the +, it's close to 50$ every were even at FT.

The way they paint ALL people who vape is so far off base that it's obvious they have an agenda against vaping, period. In other words, yes we'll let you vape but it's going to be regulated. Regulated to squash 95% of the business leaving it to BT & BT and so we can have our pocket's filled by them. My blood pressure can't take watching it.

Yeah, about half of them have been like that, but half have been objective too. Regardless of bias, some of the techno aspects have been interesting.

I have to be fair, I watched very little and missed most of it, I was getting so mad I turned it off LoL. There was a guy yesterday talking about dripping, he said people make their coils so they can get them "not red but white hot, white hot and dry, then drip juice on the coil so they can get huge clouds of........ SMOKE" That's when I shut it off.

That was the FAA guy, he was the worst of the bunch. Called us all "renegades".

But... There have been a lot of Vape Industry folks, and Battery industry folks, and it was quite interesting. The battery folks were not as concerned about vape devices as they were things like hover-boards, where there was a lot more available energy.

Lets face it, Li-Ion batteries nowadays store a lot of energy. Any time you store a lot of energy, electrical, mechanical, gas, whatever, it increases the consequences during an unintended release.

It's a problem with vaping because many do not do their homework and are careless with that energy. Then they set their pants on fire by throwing an 18650 in with their loose change, resulting in a sensationalized press release adding stigma to vaping.

Heck, look around right here on ECF and you can see countless examples of reckless behavior, and these are folks who clearly have access to a ton of safety information.

Then you have Joe-Blow down the street who wants to quit smoking, isnt even aware of places like ECF, and goes out and buys some high powered device. They dont have a clue about batteries, and see an 18650 as just a fat AA battery in terms of hazard. The local Convenience Store, and even many Vape Shops, dont do a thing to educate the customer.

Then, you have our lawsuit crazy society as whole causing so many hazard labels that nobody pays attention to the warnings anymore. Your example of Caution HOT while using" on a clothes iron is perfect. With so many CYA warnings to protect against frivolous lawsuits, you cant blame the uneducated user for lumping Energizer AAs and 18650s in the same boat. Nobody knows what to take seriously anymore.

Its a problem. And we within the Vape Industry have not resolved it. If we had resolved it then the three letter acronyms wouldnt be paying any attention to it.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Even an AA under dead short can get messy. Many of us have an unfair advantage, being involved in electricity/electronics in various ways. Even with that knowledge sometimes things go wrong. I lost a brand new LG HD2 to an unseen dead short in a mod I built, problem with a modified battery sled. It got hot, expanded a bit, but that was it. The internals of the battery saved me from throwing it out the window or any damage to anything. I'm all for protection schemes in the batteries, chargers and mods, but even with that you can't protect from ignorance or stupidity.

Yeah, working with lipo's makes me nervous until I have them installed, guess some fear is a good thing. I make a plan of where I can toss one before I start working, I don't want to be running for the door while juggling a smoking grenade. The battery industry could build in safety to keep battery's from dead short runaway's, but then we would be paying extra for it.

The inevitable is idiot proofing of vaping! It has to come, all in one units with built in batteries.
Take Apple for an example, you have never been able to access the battery in their phones, iPads, laptops. Unfortunately it's the way it has to be, for the mass's to be safe :(
As soon as you give people a choice on witch battery to use, some will use the wrong one!

Oh yeah, that's the plan, and BT will own 95% of the market, they got to make up for all the money they've been loosing and the government is looking to keep the back pocket perks and taxes rolling in. Once BT controls vaping, how many years do you think it'll be before cigarettes will be cheaper then vaping?

The writing is all ready on the wall! The deeming isn't to kill vaping, it's to kill all the small players.
Opening the door for BT to come in a big way & take over the buding industry!

Check out this video, who's getting in on the ground floor? The second biggest tobacco company in the world! Saying they care about "Harm Reduction" Yea reducing harm to their bottom line!

Well I got news for BT, they won't ever get another dime from me. I'll mod and DIY everything I can and go underground for the rest. For years I've been looking for a good excuse to buy a used lathe and mill, I'll make my own atty's if I have too!
I have enough Aromamizers to last 20 years, longer if I give them some TLC along the way.
