I have enough Aromamizers to last 20 years, longer if I give them some TLC along the way.
There are the few like Us who are prepared!
But the vaping industry is still in an infant state, many more will follow in years to come getting off traditional cigarettes.
BT is going to claim all those customers along the way, with influence, dishonesty, media manipulation & crooked politicians!
We have become The United Corporation of America! Home of the Rich & Powerful!
Were the Brave & the Free are being replaced with the Kept & Manipulated!

The inevitable is idiot proofing of vaping! It has to come, all in one units with built in batteries.
Take Apple for an example, you have never been able to access the battery in their phones, iPads, laptops. Unfortunately it's the way it has to be, for the mass's to be safe :(
As soon as you give people a choice on witch battery to use, some will use the wrong one!

just letting you know, you actually do have access to the battery on a lot of Apple laptops. they only started being unremovable since the retina models.

I PIF'd my Vamos about a year ago. Side by side, while it looks nice, still leaves the atomizer sticking up like a sore thumb. I still like the VTR for form and have one sitting on a shelf right above my desk. I really need to get working on real side by side mods, I have two started and no time to finish them.

Back in those days the Provari was the big thing. I never jumped on that bandwagon though. I could get 10 Vamos for the price of one Provari, and the Vamos had a decent vape for their time. I was getting them for like $15 ea in the co-ops. No doubt the Provari was built better, and probably still work today, but the Vamos lasted me long enough to outgrow them. LOL, I was flame-bait back then for taking that stance though.

I never got on the Provari bandwagon either. Even at "retail" Vamos were less than a quarter of the price of a Provari and worked, for me and many others, just as well. They both got really heavy use and even the 510s held up. I was using a 510 adapter on them to preserve the threads, but still a great mod for the day.

For "ha ha's" I put a filled a CE3 and put it on a cig-a-like auto the other day, had to charge the cig-a-like battery first. First time I've used one since the VTR days. It still works and they did get me off of tobacco. The big advantage is they can be used "no hands" unlike the stuff I use today. I've toyed with the idea of using the air flow switch out of one of them as a secondary fire button on a DNA, along with some tubing, to make it hands free as well. Just need the motivation and the time.

I had a couple Provari's, bought used for a "discount." They were rock solid when other things weren't, but not worth the premium price. They failed to move with the market, a 40W mod (the Radius) feature limited wasn't going to sell.

Re: My latest Vamo.
I bought one about a year ago from Varitube for about $25 for my wife. It is a KDS 40 watt with SS 510 and spring loaded pin. It appears to not be PWM. The one feature that totally scares me is it's ability to be used as a power bank if one has the adapter. So it could be accidentally made to fire continuously with the right combination of button presses. It works well but just sits here.
I have another 15 watt one (rattle snake) here that had the brass 510 threads "disappear" after 1 week of the wife's use, it just sits here too sporting it's 510 to 510 adapter that I "fixed' into it.

@mikepetro What a co-incidence that you brought up the Vamo-Shrink.. Just yesterday I ordered 4 Vamo 40 watts for 15$ cn each (about 11$us) to upgrade my Vamo shrink collection.. The one you pictured looks like the china version.

Here is a compare of a Vamo-Shrink I made with Belgium parts and a Pico.

The Vamo-Shrink has a story that began on ECF.. in 2013 by @Tourlounette

Here is link to the thread.. sadly all of the pictures are unlinked.. The Chinese cloned it in 2014.
So I shrink my Vamo ...
She is a Canadian that first introduced it at a vape-meet in Montreal.

Here is a ghetto version I did up ..

So Mike I was amazed at your post.. and thought everyone would enjoy the history lesson.. :)
