I use a pair of Dr. Slick fly tying scissors I liberated from my tying tools when I purchased a replacement pair. Nothing wrong with them just got a deal on a new set. They are serrated for trimming feathers. Cut Rayon like a dream. Clean and precise snip snip. Individual fiber trim right off.

My gf's a hairdresser so I use her old shears when she's done w/ them. kind of expensive to buy them just for cotton but I've not found anything that cuts better.

Just a heads up to those thinking about buying the therion 75c, they have a really bad paint on them, my 250 used to be black, for about 2-3 months, then for about 6 months it looked like urban camo. It got so chipped up I took it apart just now and stripped all the paint off the c-frame.

I swear, one of these days these Chinese companies will figure out how to paint a mod.

If they painted them well, and built them well, then people wouldnt want to replace them as often.

Its a business plan.......

Lets face it short of raw aluminum what Finnish will hold up?
Any mods I have that don't leave the house are fine, but any that go out & are used a lot, every finish comes off :( It's like a phone protect it with a case or it looks used!

Wicking is a Zen thing for me, some days I am in harmony each and every fiber, and other days I just flat out loose my Mojo.

Me to :) Some times my wick is so perfect it's singing like an angle & some times it's Death Metal :(

Whats all the fuss over scissors? I just got a pair at the Drug Store :)

Dammit. I ordered a black with carbon fiber/carbon fiber. It was supposed to ship on 6/15 but went to "restocking" :-x. The product page shows it as "pre-order" now. I'll give it a few more days and then cancel if it doesn't ship.

I'm impressed with how well the finish is holding up on those hotcig dx 200's we got so cheap, there are some bare spots on the edges but all of mine still have 97%. I don't beat on them but I'm not overly careful, I know they'll get worn and it doesn't bother me, I care about performance and they have been great!

For the price we got them for, it was the deal of the year! Mine still works perfect :) I still never even tried out my spare battery. I took mine to work a few times when my Gens were dyeing, I wore all the paint off the corners & got the white all dirty :( Still works perfect thou :)

I have two Invader Minis that are over two years old. They look like they did the day I got them. They're my "outside" mod 'cause they're water resistant and shock resistant, plus coated with a thick layer of rubberized stuff that must be a 1/4" thick. In the car, on the mower, running the chipper/shredder, trimming limbs and anything else, including walking the dog. They've been dropped many times, in dirt, on concrete and on asphalt. The only thing I've had to do to them was change the original screws that held the base of the 510 connector from tiny metric stuff to 2-56 stainless. Too many drops and the metric stuff failed.

The rest of the stuff stays home, usually, but even then I've got scratches on the ERM+ and ERM. Nothing bad, just minor stuff.

I usually grab a Vaporshark with a cover when I head out but I've been taking one of my Silos lately and they've held up very well but they're anodized.

I picked up some Matte Clear Rustoleum spray paint for my Silo 75c cases. I think I'll do the ERM+ cases too while I'm at it.
