OK, got the jig in.
First stick was a total waste. I would get an inch of pretty then it would overwrap, another inch and over wrap. Not enough pretty length for a usable coil in the whole stick. But I learned a few things.
2nd stick came out great, no waste except for the tips on the ends. Trick was learning the right angle to hold the drill, using the top hole instead of middle hole, and being less greedy on the stick length.
Made a 11" stick of dual 26g wrapped in 32g, of TI.
Whoever said finer gauge was better flavor may be onto something, this thing is vaping great!
I have tried the jigs as well but I actually prefer this way now, use one of these with 2 dowel rods from coil masters, it's the closest to an automatic clapton maker that I've tried. Plus it makes staggering much less painful.I got a jig today too!Shop Kreg Pocket Hole Jig at Lowes.com It's the basic starter kit but I'm impressed. I needed to make a new screen frame for the porch, while at lowes picking up the screen I decided to grab one and give it a try. Once I had the pieces ripped and cut on the table saw it took less then ten minuets to drill the holes and screw it together, solid for .... end joints and it's perfectly square! Think I'll get the big kit when it's on sale, wish I had bought one years ago!
Mine get sticky from time to time. I pop the top cap off the onboard switch, being careful not to lose the disc inside, and just clean it with some IPA and snap it back together. Juice is often the culprit. Here's a ? though, some of my dna75 board's have had their fire buttons go a bit sloppy, and this happened already to the dna75c that my cousing has been working on. Anyone else had this? Like, the on board +/- buttons still feel clicky but just not the fire button.
There's one thing I can think of that might be causing it, when vaping the other thing you generally hold the fire button down much longer, but I'm not being rough with it and the board's not getting hot or anything like that, all firing well withim limits. I think all my dna75 boards have been treated very well... Plus I use them mostly below 30 watts, for higher wattage vaping I always use one of the 250's

Way too many things are illegal there.Neat, but not legal in NY, BIG no no
Didn't think of that, it's possible some juice got in there... When I get home I'm gonna pull one apart and see if that's the case.Mine get sticky from time to time.
