Windows 10 creator's update must have taken 2.5 hrs. to install and ran my laptop full blast....thought it was going to burn up but eventually finished. Then I found cold joints on the replacement board at the balance pads that I put in my VT133 some time ago. I hadn't even looked at it in months. Fixed that.
Oh, and my 25 mm K5 is just about here....maybe today.

$47 VapeDroid made it in today, 7 days from FT! One of the fastest deliveries from FT ever :) I ordered 2 & the second one got separated in Customs some were. I'm sure it will be along soon :)
So I can see why the Droid people had issues with the product China is pumping out with their name on it!
Mine came DOA :( I had to take it apart to find one of the battery contacts not assembled.
I managed to get it together, But! the wiring is poor, the battery sled is sub par, one of the screws that holds the sled stripped, the whole unit stinks of Cheep China quality construction :( The only good thing is the DNA250 & the 510 appears to be not too Bad!

I got this thing for a reduced rate, but I would feel sorry for those who paid full price for it :(

They can make good stuff when they want to but so much of it is just poor assembly, I guess if I was getting paid penny's for my work I wouldn't care either. I finally got the correct security camera DVR model I ordered a month ago and it's one that works, after getting two of the wrong model, then one that was the right model but the video out to the monitor didn't work, had to send that one back and now finally got one that works. But when I opened it yesterday to put the hard drive in I found they never plugged the cooling fan wire into the board and only one of the four motherboard mounting screws was there. I found more screws for the board and plugged the fan in but really, how long would it have taken to do that at the factory... Well that's what we get for buying cheap China stuff, you know your rolling the dice, sometimes karma makes us pay the price. I have to respect karma, she's even handed, what's due to me I have to take, fair is fair... I do feel bad for people that don't have the means to tinker, for them it's got to be an even bigger hassle.

Windows Creator update made my screen darker than normal, some nVidia/Windows conflict foolishness.

In Task Scheduler I had to disable the Calibration Loader loader task from running by disabling both Triggers. The Calibration loader can be found under \Microsoft\Windows\WindowsColorSystem in the Scheduler.

Yup, pride in workmanship is non existent today. Slap it together & get it out the door.
Close enough, is good enough, Sad really :(
This is driven by most consumers' desire to by stuff primarily based on price.

2009 Called, They want their OS back! :D
What exactly does a newer version do that's actually useful or desirable? Cortana? Nope, don't need or want it. Built-in spyware? Nope, definitely don't want that.

Now I'll grant you that on a touch-screen Windows 8.1 is much better. But I only use a tablet upstairs (in the bedroom / bathroom). On a real computer, with a real keyboard and a real mouse, I see no compelling reason to run anything newer than 7 (x64 of course).
