I got a couple free lipo's from that guy too Steamer. :thumb: I hope it doesn't hurt for them to freeze? It's bitter cold here and they've been in the mail box half the day, I know they got well below freezing.

Bonus!
With Shipping to Canada I couldn't get a Fully max for less than $ 30 CND :(
I feal Bad that Hana went out of Business, But We are reaping the benefits :)
I cant say for absolutely certain, but I don't think the cold would hurt them?
I have brought lipo mods on Snowmobile excursions in the extreme cold, with no Ill affects :)

It's 2 deg F here now, the winds finally calmed down, it was blowing hard all day with gusts at 20 MPH, the wind chill was terrible. Had to blow the drifts out of the driveway, I got the worst of it and called it good enough, I was froze to the bone within minuets.

In that order I bought one of the Hana V4 dna 40 mods --> Hana Modz V4 DNA 40 *Authentic* Navy Blue MOD *BLOWOUT SALE* | eBay hoping to put a 60 board in it. It came in a nice Hana zippered case, when I open it there was a post it note wrapped around it with, "Broken door latch"...... And sure enough, it is broken, I'm thinking someone returned it to Hana and it got mixed in with all the stuff this guy bought during the close out. It's a plastic latch housing and plastic slide release button, I took it apart, it's no wonder it broke, the parts are so damn thin in spots there is no way they would last long. Because he threw in the extra battery's I'm not going to ask for an exchange, but I am going to ask if he got any replacement parts with the stuff he bought from them, see if he would sell me a few of both the plastic parts to have on hand. I think I'll search the web and see if anyone came up with a fix, I may be able to make something better, worse case I can drill and tap then put a screw through the door to hold it close.

Those plastic parts are what I'd call PPD, piss poor design...

Someday I'll have to tell you the story how "PPD" got me in hot water with the ACURA factory rep one day, I found it funny and justified, he, the service manager and owner of the dealership did not.

There is a small ground wire soldered to small latch part with screw through it, catches the brass Neg base on the door and grounds it.

Check the latest three of four pages on the thread on Evolv, look for James's posts, may find your answer there. Early Firmware and EScribe Suite Discussion Thread Recently caught a glimpse of James posting he uploaded a service pack that included boost but can't give you details. I was seeing people requesting upgrades for kanthal TC support 6-8 weeks ago (?), I didn't have interest to follow it closely. I recall James saying something along the line that there is a difference between the service packs we see and what is supplied "Internationally". Wondering if the last pack came closer to the International packs? But again I didn't follow the chatter closely, no interest in going back to kanthal.

OIC the boost is for watts mode :) My 60's & 75c have that all ready :)
Willy I would say some thing about the broken latch, I bet the guy would fix you up? He seems like a stand up Guy :)

Well he gave me free battery's and besides, by the design from Hana, those thin areas of the parts, to make those two parts in plastic was just dumb and they will break again anyways. I did send him the pics and asked if he had any spare parts to replace those, but in the long haul I think I'll have to come up with another fix that will last longer. Be nice if I found someone selling these parts made from metal, if Hana sold enough of them someone may have made replacements, I'll do some web searching. Will make for a neat little 60 mod once done up, other than that issue I like it!

Someone else asked in the SPI facebook group why their LV 75C goes to 100W.
It was included in Firmware 1.1SP26.

"Max Output Power. This can now be increased to 100W, though it will only take effect for the first second of a puff, and only for Preheat or Boost."

Steamer, Have you built these beta case mods from that ebay guy and if you did, did you use both the JST and XT30 connectors? I had the JST connector soldered on the board and the XT30 wired and soldered but I was struggling to make everything fit. I couldn't get the back side of the case closed no matter how I tried placing wires and connectors. I ended up leaving the JST and eliminated the XT30 by soldering the Poss and Neg battery wires right to the board then installing the board while live. Made if scary and challenging to put the live board in the mod, I cut small pieces of kapton tape and covered everything on the screen connecting, front facing side of the board so if I bumped the board against the case it wouldn't short something out. If you built one of these and used both the XT and JST, I'd love to see pics how you did it, I rather not build any more with live boards if I can get around it.

I did mine "live" to, maybe a smaller type connector would work but a XT30 is out of the question :(
For me it wasn't a big deal, I did my Silos the same way :)
I even tried the 90 degree JST connector to gain a bit more room, No Go, the battery would press against the board & jam the Up/Down buttons :(
