I've never tried unflavored, but may as a result of the results using VG/DW in the other thread. Guess it has another advantage, too, no steeping required.

Personally I never tried it for almost 7 years but turns out I really like it a lot, I use nude nic so it tastes really good & clean... also, when using flavored juice I'd always have to switch them all the time or else after a day or so I'd stop being able to taste barely anything at all.

Got a 200 that suddenly won't take a charge over .5 an amp, tried everything I can think of through escribe, anyone else seen this?

I had a DX200 do that, thought it was a worn out lipo, nope, bad board. It started out intermittently charging at lower amps then got worse, eventually charge current bottomed out at .01 amps.

I had made the mistake of giving a few of my mixes to a close friend who was trying to quit cigs and couldn't find a juice he liked, but currently I'm having to make him juice every week to use in his cloud chucker... Now I think I'm actually just going to reccommend unflavored whenever freinds/acquaintances decide to give vaping a go... imo it's much easier than trying a bunch of flavorings you don't like & I've not met anyone yet who didn't like it.

I do have some strawberry shortcake in my dna squanker/hadaly but for my adv aromamizer, unflavored lives in it.

You can experiment a little with flavorless, I found PG has a little bit of peppery taste to it, but not everyone has the same taste. I liked the taste of the PG better but I liked the clouds with VG, ended up going with 80VG-20PG mix, lost a lot of the peppery taste but got that volume sensation from the clouds that I like more. With flavored the taste of the PG doesn't come into play, I'd rather vape the highest VG I can get.
You've gotta be kidding

New studies find carcinogens in vg and pg at high temps, even in tootle puffers

I know you've used those Hana mod kits so I'll ask you before I have a hack at them. Can the 510 wire be replaced, easily or not so easily? It seems kind of stiff and thin for my tastes. Once I get one built, I'll run battery analyzer on it to see how it does.

Ah, that thread I've seen, thanks though. :)

Yes you can easily solder a new wire in those 510's, I replaced them in mine. Heat it with the soldering tip and once the solder melts you'll find they have a huge hole, why that made it so big I can't figure out, not that it matters just seem's silly.

Well that sucks, too far outside the warranty to ask for a fix or replacement, oh well.

Does anyone have like a single flavor that they use pretty much constantly, & if so, can you still taste it?

I really can only "taste" juice on the first tank after I switch from one flavor to another, after about a day I can hardly taste anything again & have to switch to a new one.

I do pretty much 70/30 for all my mixes, as its been mentioned, (good) vg has its own sweet taste that's perfectly adequate for me without any flavorings.

Just for my own curiosity, how many of you guys use unflavored, & how many have not tried it yet?
I use unflavored about 75% of the time. I get "vape tongue" easily, where after a half tank or so I dont taste the flavor. Unflavored seems to reset that. Now, I use the flavored tanks as sort of a "treat".

Had my original 250 did that to me recently. The mod worked fine but the charging circuit died, it would only take about 0.05A through USB. It would have been fine in a replaceable bat mod, but I was running a lipo so I swapped the board out. All is good now.

Hmm, it's in one of those Hana mod kits but I could swap it out to one of my three DX's, I use two of the DX's to vape on and one to keep the six battery packs charged, guess not is all lost. :thumb:

I've tried unflavored in various VG/PG mixes and none really tripped my trigger. 100% VG had a sweet undertone which was most palatable (both with and without nic). I have vaped 2/3 VG 1/3 PG add 1.8% nic then 8% of the total of TFA Key Lime for several years now. I am a tootle puffer MTL 0.7ohm MM coil in the old RM2's still though.

Same here, I've been doing that since the time where I quit for couple of months, but I literally hadn't tried unflavored up until that point, I don't think anyway. It's really good actually, when done right with quality stuff. I use my favorite flavored's as deserts I guess, bc I'm not allowed to have sugar, vaping cake & stuff is the best I've got.

That way I actually get to enjoy it, bc it doesn't do anything for me if I keep vaping it till I can't taste it anymore.

Thanks, Willie. When I got them I just had a quick look-see to make sure all the parts were there. I will say fit and finish are pretty decent.

I have a total of five flavors running all the time, all tobacco based. I switch from one to the other on and off all day, depending on where I'm parked or what I'm doing. If I stick to one I do kind of lose the ability to taste it so I just grab another mod/flavor and all is right with the world again.

I vape unflavored about 2/3 of the time -- it's my "all day vape" in a mod/atty that's never had a trace of any flavoring in it. However, there are two flavors in my daily rotation. One that I call "Apple Pie" is what I consistently start the day with. Another (a blackberry & blood orange mix) gets some hits here and there. Both of them get dripped into an atty from the top while the squonk bottle underneath gets refilled with unflavored, and a 30ml bottle of flavored juice lasts me months...

Couple other things about those 510's, the spring they use is a wave lock washer, make sure it goes back in the way it comes out, if flipped over the sharp edges will be facing in toward the plastic insulator washer and it may dig into the plastic when compressed, you'll see what I mean when you take it apart. This is what they look like.

The other thing, when they threaded the mod for the 510 they must not have fully cut the threads and they just forced it in which leaves burr's around the threads on the inside, good thing is it makes for a real tight & solid connection. I found some of those burr's falling loose on every one of them, I take a dental pick like the one below, bend the tip inwards to make a hook on the very end so I can get all the way around the threads, break them loose and remove them, you won't want those coming loose, floating around inside the mod and shorting out the board.
