It's going to be 50° and calm this morning, first time flying RC airplanes since last fall. All the batteries are charged and airplanes are check out and ready to go after a long winter's nap. My flying thumbs are pretty rusty so if I return home without my planes in 5 gallon bucket I'll call it a good day.

Sitting down, facing forward.

I filled it out, but like Alexander and others I didn't fit the "profile" the authors had in mind. I think most of us in this thread don't fit it, either. I was surprised to see that TC wasn't an option listed in devices. When are the researchers going to finally see the light?

Kiba, like Tibs said, a good brush and a steady hand is all it takes. Don't be cheap with a brush, you get what you pay for and the cheap ones don't carry enough paint or hold shape well enough to do a good job. Worst case, blue painters masking tape is a way to get a sharp edge. Just take it off, carefully, before the paint is fully dry to avoid peeling any paint. I have three brushes I use for "cut" work, short, medium and long handles but my favorite is the short handled one. Very easy to control.

Nope, I hadn't seen it. I found the survey via Mowgli's thread:
Flavors Survey From Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos
As with Rossum some of the selections didn't match my vaping habits so I lied where applicable.
Eh? I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I found no need to lie. Like so many others, I started with tobacco flavors, but the thing that got me to put down that last daily cig was a fruit flavor.

Woops, was I supposed to lie in that survey? You know, like to make it seem like I'd go back to smoking of the FDA took away flavors? I can redo it if need be, but I actually am one of the apparently few people on this forum that does think flavorings should be looked into. Knowledge is power & all that.

a good brush in the proper size plus a steady hand is all i ever needed. ;)

I always have trouble with getting the brushed paint to look like the rolled - on paint, & also keeping my hand steady, tape does help. Any suggestions on what type of sanding blocks, small roller & brush to use? I have to get new ones anyways bc the guys I had doing the big walls took all our supplies.

Tell the truth, I did. I vape mostly unflavored now, but when I started, flavors were VERY important to me.

I also agree that flavors should be studied, and full disclosure made, so that informed choices can be made.

I am 100% against them being restricted unless XYZ molecule is proven to be cause you to grow a 5th limb, then fine, restrict that one molecule.

Thats a Good Point! Flavour Ban :nah: Flavouring labels, listing ingredients :thumb:

I couldn't participate in the survey Cause I'm Canadian. TBH I could care less if they ban flavouring, I'm all ways going to DIY, these flavours were here before & will still be here if & when the FDA bans then for use in Vapor juice :)

Although such a ban would have no effect on us, it would make certainly make things far more difficult for people transitioning from smoking in the future. :(

IDK? If you could still buy juice, how hard would it be to add a few mils of flavouring?
How could they stop "One Shots"
Kind of like banning cream & sugar but still selling Coffee!

They couldnt stop it, but I dont know if I would have been as quick to give vaping a shot if I knew I had to mix my own juice, it can be intimidating to a noob. Well...... on second thought "I" probably wouldnt have been daunted, it actually would have held geek appeal to "me", but the average grandma down the street probably doesnt feel as comfortable with the notion.

I hesitated, a long time, before I got into DIY. According to my records, I've mixed about 20 liters so far. When I started, without vanilla flavors I don't think I could have succeeded. Now, I can't stand confection or fruit flavors.

For sanding, I just use quality sandpaper, folded to suit, and my hand/fingers in 60-180 grit depending on what I'm doing. 60 grit for first coat of spackle and working up for finish work. In terms of getting brushed paint to have the slight "stipple" effect of rolled, good luck. A brush, when properly used, leaves a much smoother finish appearance. I use small rollers with replaceable covers, four and six inch, for smaller areas. I've gotten hooked on the plastic, throw away, roller pan liners for everything. Makes cleanup a lot easier.

Well it would also be bad news for big tobacco, they've invested a ton of money into vaping, they are looking to get as big a bite of the apple as they can to make up for the loss of tobacco sales, banning flavors would hurt them too so I'm sure they would be in the fight too.

LOL BT has "lobbyist" Working on that as we speak!

Flavourless isn't that Bad! Given the choice I would all ways want flavoured juice, but of all the things that could have happened, This isn't the worst!

The start of a slippery slope, me thinks.

Whats even more scary was the talk of converting vape to an OTC item.
An even slipperier slope....

no argument there. i was referring to cutting-in only and there a good brush will do wonders. never got along with tape no matter which kind i tried :?:
